And even though... )

Summer has finally started to show about last weekend has now come out completely.

Dog walking with [livejournal.com profile] elsmoka, [livejournal.com profile] legoline and [livejournal.com profile] book232 :) I haven't taken pics in ages so it was a lot of fun. We also had the most wonderful barbecue later on a great salad. And we watched the strangest movie I have seen in ages "21 Jumpstreet" with Channing Tatum in it. I am still not entirely sure if the movie is totally genius or the worst thing I have ever seen.

[livejournal.com profile] legoline, [livejournal.com profile] elsmoka and I are planning to see Magic Mike also. We might get a channing overload even though we just want to see it for the delicious Matt Bomer.

Sunday I spent with my brother. We had another barbecue in my parents garden with my friend Yasmin and some friends of my brothers. I was nice to see them again. Also saw John Carter with them, which wasn't bad at all. It wasn't a quality movie per se, but I had a ridiculous smile on my face the whole time and there were a lot of familiar faces next to Tayler Kitsch who I know was in the movie there was James Purfoy, Ciaran Hinds, Mark Strong and Dominic West. All brits ;)

Thanks to everyone who sent me messages, V-gifts, pms and whatnot for my birthday. You made it an incredible day. Spent the evening with friends having dinner at my favorite restaurant. It was marvellous :)

Also omg... we have tickets for "The Dark Knight Rises". I can get my Tom Hardy fix :) Also omg.. Batman. I'm really excited to see how Nolans vision will end.

Watched the amazing Spiderman with friends a week ago.

04 April 2012 @ 10:20 am

I am so very very tired and I feel like I'm getting more tired each day. It's not a very good feeling. Can hardly keep my eyes open. In the evenings though...

I'm not that tired at all, but too exhausted to do much else, so I end up reading. I'm reading the third part of the hunger games right now. [livejournal.com profile] elsmoka has given it to me on monday and I'm half way through again. I can hardly put the books down. It's been ages since that happened to me.

Sebastian Stan on Once upon a time was devine last week. The onlym guy who had chemistry with Emma snce the Sheriff. He and Emily de Ravin can come back every week, I think. Tha would be cool.tiny speculation )

I've watched Game of thrones with [profile] elsmoka, [personal profile] lyxzen and [profile] thatphoenixguy on monday and it was fabulous. he company and the episode. I'm so glad my show is back!! So very very much :) I also watched 2x02.

a few things )

[livejournal.com profile] throneland has started the new phase just in time for the new season as well. I don't think they could have chosen a better date to start. I'm active, even though not as muc as I'd like to be.

The prometheus trailer looks really really fantastic.

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] realproof!! I hope you have a wonderful day :)

Not surprisingly, my tumblr dashboard has turned a lot more fannish and a lot less photographic in the last few weeks.

I'm really looking forward to seeing This means war (Das gibt Ärger) in the cinemas soon. Just so I can witness things like this.

Kirsten Bell remains adorable. Also Sloths!!!

[personal profile] oxoniensis has started the next porn battle.

On another note, my buddy R had no juice on monday and rather than freeze is ass of he spent the night on my couch playing Uncharted 3. Gaming is not good for me. Even watching other people play. But damn, that thing is exciting. Very Indiana Jones. I can totally understand them wanting to turn it into a movie.

I am slowly catching up on shows and am a bit emberassed to say I really enjoy the Lying Game. I'm not even sure what else I caught up on. I think I watched the entire first season of Sherlock AGAIN. Fringe remains awesome and if you aren't watching you totally should be!

Tried a tutorial the other day and ended using my own techniques again. Still liking the result:

I had no accidents so far ;) But I'm kind of accident prone usually so even if something happened, it would not be unusual ;)

In any case, I've finally seen Thor and loved it. It was fun and entertaining and charming. Sometimes it's all I want from a movie experience. Also I really loved the cast and the acting and I think from what I know about the comic, that they all fit rather well.

I've also been catching up on my shows. Mind you, I have a lot to catch up on.

The Smallville Finale is tonight. It's the end of an era. Will you guys whatch? Here is a spoilery behind the scenes vid.

Jason Momoa has done a short. There were some beautiful pics a while back and now there is a trailer. I'm wondering if that is Sigur Ros music.

You won't believe it, but I mnaged to fix my own internet. The problem was with my router. I needed to reset it more than once until it worked again. Of course finding the solution took me quite some time, installation of spyare and other tools and a long time in a phone company service line.

Also have a look at this twitter picture. Anticipation is awesome, right? Only I'm wondering if Martin is already done shooting the Hobbit.

New Conon the Barbarian trailer. Doesn't look too shabby.

So basically, TV has been good to me lately. Last Nights How I met your mother gave me more Michael Trucco. Nothing is ever wrong with that and I get him in HIMYM and Fairly Legal. BTW. I don't count this as a spoiler. Do you?

Games of Thrones lived up to my expectations. Some minor gripes. I just wonder if my love for Jon Snow has to do with the fact that he was my favorite in the book, or if I just liked Kit Harrington. Who cares though. I also loved Arya a lot and Tyrion. Which is not surprising since they were all favorites in the books. I had intended to do picsspam or icons or something. Time is not permitting it though so it will have to wait. Till it does ;)

Oh yeah, Jason Momoa is in it... for you Atlantis peeps. Also the intro is fantastic.

New Glee and Parenthood tonight. YAY!

I also finally watched The Eagle and then proceeded to show clips to Rene who agrees it is a romance movie.

Also the good, my super sekrit work project. I get to learn WordPress for it. It's very convenient.
I am to this point successfully fighting this damn cold.

  • Fringe has been renewed!!!! Let's celecrate!!
  • If you haven't had the chance to see it, go view [livejournal.com profile] newkidfan's new vidlet. Itt's called Hindsight and is about Kirt and Blaine from Gleee. As always it's brilliantly edited, and has great sound. Itz's a must-see not just for Glee-fans.
  • New Captain America trailer. Still looking damn fabulous!!
  • Check out Eat Smarter. It's quite a cool site which also has lots of vegan recipes or ones that can be adapted as such easily. Most importantly it's got great pictures and describtions.
  • Did not go to the concert. Fell asleep on the couch watching Germany's next topmodel. It sucks a lot more than it ever as before. Am still very tired.
  • Cannot wait for Kaizer's Orchestra gig tonight. His hotness commands. Want to bet if Janove takes off his shirt?
  • Fish of the late Cooper Temple Clause has a new gig. It's called Red Kite and you can check out a few songs here. I quite like them. I miss the Coopers a lot though.

Lookie!!!! I've been making icons and stuff. Fun stuff!! Pets her Eames icon. Icons, icons, icons. They look so different at my work computer though.

I think my creativity is back. I'm very surely working through my todo list still and it's really getting so much better!!!!

Just yesterday, I've finally finished the design for [livejournal.com profile] legoline's website. You can check it out at her journal here. The entry is locked though. So if you're not a member of her flist you won't be able to see it. I'm very happy with the result though. And I was so concentrated I didn't even watch TV or shows or anything. I was in the zone. I haven't been in the zone in a while.

The dear JJ Abrams has been making another movie. Similar to his Cloverfield, we do not know very much about the plot. But the trailer looks amazing. I'm very much reminded of ET for some reason. and Kyle Chandler is in it. A LOT!!! Anyways, the movie is called Super 8. Check out the trailer. Use trailer 2. That is the better one.

I'm giving inkheart another chance. I'm listening to the audio-book at work right now. The thing with audiobooks is you don't skip. I'm a skip reader. I tend to run through the pages when I'm bored. And the thing is inheart is that I feal the writer is really in love with her writing. It makes it all very pretentious to me. Just get it going, is what keep thinking.

Oh and by the way, I am eagerly awaiting Games of Thrones. And they have finally have a ferature On Khal Drogo, played by Stargate Atlantis' Jason Momoa. Check it out here. All the trailers as of yet look fantastic.

Also, my whole body hurts. I think I overdid it last night with my workout.

On sunday, [livejournal.com profile] legoline, [livejournal.com profile] lyxzen and [livejournal.com profile] thatphoenixguy went to a spontaneous viewing of the King's Speech. I almost said no. I wasn't too anxious to see the movie, because it's not my favorite genre, but I went anyways, if just to see the others ;)

It was such a beautiful movie. Beautifully filmed, very atmospheric and funny. I didn't think ti would be that funny and have that much heart. Also the acting was sublime. Go watch if you have the chance.

Out of curiosity I checked out the american adaption of "Das Experiment". To preface this, I'm not a fan of German cinema at all. "Das Experiment" is a huge exception to that rule. Hardly any movie has ever shocked or rattled me quite as much.

Someone told me that the american version was done by the same director (not the case) and that the story was the same (not the case, either). I was curious though, so with the primise of Adrian Brody and a gritty movie, I went to check it out.

My recommendation to you is don't. Watch the German one. Because that is awesome. It so so much grittier and darker and better acted and has a far better plot as well. The nuances are lacking the the american version and I never quite felt the same horror as I did in the original.

For those of you who don't know, the story is based on a novel, that is based on true events. It is a psycho-thriller in which 20 willing people, all men, submit to an experiment. 10 of them are guards, 10 of them are inmates.

The original Experiment was done 1971 at Stanford University. And was supposed to run two weeks. They had to stop it after one week.

ps: There was one guy who looked very familiar in this movie. I googled. Name is Clifton Collins. I found out he is on the Event right now.

I haven't been on lj since thursday morning, so I have little idea what you guys have been up to. Anyways, to alleviate my boredom, [livejournal.com profile] elsmoka agreed to go see a movie with me. Since she already did see the movies I really want to see desperately (Batman, Hitchhikers...), we went to see War of the Worlds. I went in with low expectations since I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise and I never have been, the only time I really did like him was in A Few Good Men.

Anyways, I didn't read the books and had no idea what the movie was about. Spoilers inside. )
