Last weekend, my friend Yasmin was with me the entire weekend and I cooked and baked for her. We also crafted and talked and it was wonderfully relaxing. It kind of inspired me to make this post of dished I made recently and took pics off.

Seems I collect ideas and reproduce them. I saw a picture on pinterest about a washi tape inspiration the other day and figure it would go well with Larabars.

I've been making Larabars using this recipe for a while to have some sweets. I used a variety of dried fruits as ingredients instead of the apriot. This time I used soft dried figs, because I love how the seeds crunch when you eat it.

I've been very busy and much more productive lately, which is good. Headway. Awesomeness. Hopefully the trend will continue upward, so I can finally finish all the tedious stuff I have to do. Like tax and stuff.

Went to the gym on saturday. My second time in aaaages and as I came back out, there were a bunch of cosplayers behind the main station dressed as Sherlock and Dr. Who and other characters and it was quite fabulous.

Also I've been cooking a lot. Mie doodles with broccoli, avocado-cucumber dip and salad with quinoa-carrot-mushroom-zucchini fritters.

I've never had such a tasty shake before. The best part about it, that it's healthy and quenches hunger.

What you need:

  • 50 grams frozen rasberries
  • 75 mililiters soy milk
  • 150 mililiters pinapple juice (I always use less)
  • ice cubes
Put all the ingredients in a mixing container and than use hand blender and blend the ingredients until it's smooth and you have no chunks. Serve in a glass with the ice cubes. It's extremely tasty. I also tried with a red berry mixture and it's just as good.

So, I've been cooking loads of japanese food, because a) it is delicious and b) I want to loose a bit of weight. I tend to eat really fast, so using chopsticks lows me down considerably and it's much more healthy. Anyways, I've lost 2,5 kilos thus far. And I even ate lots of chocolate and stuff. The best part is that none of the dishes took too long. Except for those summer rolls I made. That was a mess.

Last month I visited my parents in the Hague (can I move there now please? The city is really so beautiful.) and was treated to a wonderful dinner in delft. We are talking Joe Mallozzi-ish gourmet food if you are wondering. This must be the best thing I have ever tasted.

Well in any case, they served amuse bouches. And they had these very tasty veggie chips made of cabbage, betroot and potatoes. And well, for many days after I've been dreaming of creating them myself. So I cought various veggies, did lots of googling and dived right in.go on... )

After they finished we put them on a plate and salted them. And they tasted amazing and a little bit warm.
Oh, seems like I have gotten myself a FlickR account. See how beautiful the Hague is!
