My Own Spires Entry, Projects, To-Do List

My own Spires idea took a turn into a completely different direction than what I planned last night. Odd how that is, since I'm enjoying it quite a bit but it's so very different. Far more friendly and less technical then I had initially planned.

Also, since it's supposed to be John centric, do you think they'd mind me sneaking other characters in?

I'm amazingly awake considering the fact that I only slept for 4 hours. I got a large portion of my first Spires entry done as well as a lot of Tweaking on svmadelyn's Heroes project.

Art Recs

As you probably know paintedspires has started and the first entries have started flowing in. Here are a few I truly enjoyed.

• Detective Noir by leyna55 impressed me the most. The Amount of work and detail that went into this is stunning. It's been painted ith a graphic tablet it seems and well, just go look for yourself.


• The Electric Things Have Their Life Too by steammmpunk. And no, it's not a Terminator AU at least I think it's not. I also found this Bones SGAAU in her lj that I find quite stunning.


• Wonderful comic like artwork by astridv. It's got Todd and Ronon fighting side by side!


• Then there is Uncounted by aesc. I always have this notion about thinking and processes taking place inside of us when I look at her pieces. And the theme for me, fits this.


• Not Spired related is this Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Artwork by lambent. It was done for me as part of the Flash fiction. The prompt I gave was Tin Man.

The Ollian

I also watched a large portion of the Ollian vids again and have decided that you all should suffer with me. I'm hopeless ;) frogspace got my hopelessly readdicted to the German soap Opera "Verbotene Liebe." Or rather, the pairing Oliver/Christian.

It always took just one pairing ;) Its basically a coming out story, but I think for a soap, the language aside, it's wonderfully done. And really you should all watch it. People make it easy for you.

I'm also very amused, that someone at GateCamp called me Elli Pirelli without knowing the whole story. Not the first time! *giggles* My colleguer at work did it too.

Dear Flist, I'm very busy at work, so I only took a quick glance at you. That said... your heroes squeee is really really evil!!!!!!!!! I will not get home for quite some time.

Also..I'm very happpy with my little cornor in the SGA fandom :) *snuggles*

Oh and btw... project SGa season2 icons is going well.... *g* I already made quite a few, less with variations and it's a lot of fun. I've been getting inspired by some wonderful people and well... I tried out some stuff. It still looks like my stuff, but it also looks different. At least I hope. Hopefully this will get me some fanart ideas that seem doable.

It's the last episode I'm actually spoiled about. *g*
OMG, I cannot wait.

Work is quite hectic, which is why I haven't been posting amongst other things. Barely had any time to myself in the recent weeks... but come saturday I got 2 free weeks. I have loads of creative things I want to do. Like utilize my acrylic colors that I bought and my canvas. I haven't done anything like that in ages!!!

I did however, start a small Heroes icon batch and 3 James Bond icons. I should not feel proud of that fact. Also my EX-Posed redesign is coming nicely.

Hopefully I will be able to put something up soon, cos I have tons of new Texture Scans and Stock. Actually, I have so much stuff scanned I can regularly post for years to come.

Anyways, went to see absolutely rocktastic gigs last Wednesday and last night. Muse and the Cooper Temple Clause.

The previous pants weren't all that great. *gah*
The Noisettes played before Muse. And honestly, it was horrendous. As was last nights 2 other bands called LeoCanDive and The Films. The latter two only created noise and bad Highschool tunes and were boring and monotonous! And one guitarist looked like mark Own. More amusing even. The LeoCanDive guitarist looked very much like Dom Monaghan! Even more so later, because he stole all of Charlies Lost outfit.

I have so much love for the coopers right now it is not funny!!!! They were all hot! And they were so awesome!!!! They played so well. Especially "Damage" blew me off my feet. I hope to share a few songs later tonight as teasers. Because they are just awesome.

So I finally did what I've been planning for over a month!!!!! Spent an entire day at home. With noone for company but me. It started with sleeping as long as I want, and then staying in bed loads longer, just dozing. It continued with a veeery long shower, a bit of laundry and some bread in front of the PC.

My internet connection didn't work. And I'd later find out that my brother pulled the plug on it. His computer is damaged and he needed the connection for his razor. WTF. Anyways, I started listening to music. Muse, Bloc Party, Michael Jackson, Killers, Depeche Mode. Kaizers Orchestra, the Dirty Dancing 2 Soundtrack. *sighs*

And then I spent almost all day watching TV. Thanks to cerri44, I am now caught up on Lost, Studio 60, Gilmore Girls, Heroes and Prison Break. I love Prison Break much more than last season and Heroes improved lots from the pilot. I love it. Not just because Greg Grunberg is in it :). I really really want to make icons.. and hopefully soon, I've sorted my computer enough to do it again. I also rewatched SGA: The Return yet again! *sighs*

Also, nichtdiemaama joined me for the party of hell friday night. Which was cooler than I thought it would be, but then I wasn't bored chatting to S. Except that everyones favorite topic seemed to be beer. And getting drunk in weird places and then not remembering what those places were like. If I wanted to get drunk, I wouldn't travel for it. *g* I'd do it at home.

Saturday, we sorted more stuff out. My bro almost singlehandedly cleaned out the attic. The whole thing generated a lot of junk, which let to a lot of scans. *YAY* Lateron cerri44 joined me for insanity, whicb meant cerri44 pushing a button ;) And well... food!!!!!! *yum*.
