the icons are really really pretty, I think my faves are the third-to-last and second to last one. Both versions are gorgeous.

*lol* well if you declare them as alternates... you know, make one table with all the "main" versions and then another table with alternates below it or something. Or sort through them, how ever you like :)

I was wondering, you always choose such fabulous caps, is there anything particular you look for, something that might make your 'job' creating the icon easier etc, I know that's kinda vague, but I'm hopeless at picking SGA caps to icon.

Because very often I drag and drop an image and it just won't work.

Very often, I use promo images... because the quality is just so mucb better. There are caps that are just unusable.

As for the rest, there are a myriad of reasons. For instance, the Liz one was accidental. I capped tons of pics of the all of them returning to Atlantis during the Intruder and I loved the angle while they walk up the stairs. You can basically just see heads and loads of Atlantis. And I love bodies with lots of space on top because it creates..well space.

Bascially, quality and color are the most important. But I do all rather randomly. I think other people think about that more.

I love using promo images because they're so pretty but sometimes they feel really static.

The Liz one is awesome.

These are all gorgeous! I love the vibrancy of the colours. The one of Rodney thinking of John in the cloud is brilliant. Rodney is all green is fantastic. I love the last one - it's so clear and gorgeous.
