I'm sorry I haven't really been here, but I have been busy as hell and hardly ever even home. I've spent most afternoons working on the project with [livejournal.com profile] eintx and [livejournal.com profile] legoline.

As always in may, I spent a wonderful weekend at GateCamp. [livejournal.com profile] stabbim and the others have outdone themselves again with a crazy misson concept, shrinking all the participants to microbes to heal Jack O'Neill from a disease. His armpit was very muddy ;)

This year, didn't take that many pictures but concentrated on the mission more, which was awesome. We made third place! You can find more details about the awesomeness here.

This weekend I went camping for a night in the Netherlands in the fabulous company of [livejournal.com profile] elsmoka. It was a very quiet and relaxing beach experience, in which I managed to relax more than I have in ages and just let go and think nothing.

Here comes the last photopost. As you can see, I tend to get photolazy on the last days, always. So this is the space of three days ;) Weather wasn't as good on day three and the beach we wen hiking on was rather boring.
On day 4 it was sunny again, but I'd been feeling the day before like I wasn't really relaxing going from the gym, to hiking, to dinner, to bed.

So I told my parents I would go to the bar by bus and sit there and read a book. My mother decided to join me and my das went for a walk on his own.

I think my mum was very glad about that ;)

That was it. I might still post the analog pictures at a later time.

Here I come with my second sylt entry. The saturday was really sunny and it reflected a lot in the sand. The light was quite brilliant because of it.We went for a rather large and very painful walk on the beach. The sand way way too soft to walk on and my hips started hurtng again the same way they have in Scotland. And in the end the bar we had hoped to have some drinks in was closed. I guess that's fine on christmas though.

Also int he middle of the day we had a little bit of rain, which made for the most perfect rainbow and wonderfully red colored sky.

ps: with my new entry format I chose larger pics this time.. what do you guys think?

Over christmas, my parents and I visited sylt. This entry is just of the first day. Went saw some town and walked on the beach. It wasn't too rainy that day but cloudy, so the pictures have a wonderful mood.

For christmas, my parents invited me to sylt, where we spent our christmas. Sylt reminded me a LOT of Scotland. And miss it. We had amazing weather, amazing food. Lots of quiet. We did a lot of hiking.

Since I'm working and my deadline is still looming, this is all I'm gonna post for now. Hopefully it qill quiet down sometime soon.

Aside from taking lots of pics with my dslr, I have had two lomographic cameras in town and since I'm not making any progress with posting them, I will post some lomos first.

So.. prepare to be a bit picture spammed. Day two was by far my favorite day, especially when it comes to the photography.
We first went to see Eilean Donan Castle, which is the caste where they shot the Highlander movie. The weather was shitty in the beginning and cleared up later. So it was fab.

My favorite part of the whole journey however was the road to Applecross. The road was very curvy and narrow and therefor scary especially since it seems for the longest time we were driving right into the fog. Btu the view and nature and everythign was so brilliant. These photographs cannot capture who brilliant it is. But since I loved it SO much, I took tons of pics. I tried out my gradient filter and all the pics have a wonderfully moody quality. And I couldn't decide which to post, so scaled a lot. No color corrections though. Some pics seem similar and I didn't realize.

The previous week, [livejournal.com profile] legoline, [livejournal.com profile] frogspace and I embarked on a great adventure. We had decided previously (years and years ago) to visit the castly in which they shoot that show Merlin. It's called Pierrefonds and it's in France. Anyways, due to us being lucky this once, they were actually filming th show on our designated date. I kid you not.

There are pics behind the cut. Please be aware that these might contain spoilers. As far as you can call it that from looking at the clothes ;) We saw everyone besides Colin. We missed him I'm afraid. the wether was awesome sunny and claudy and it worked so well with the castle. My pics aren't the best. My zoom didn't reach far enough and there seems to be something wrong with my camera.

As for the filming, ti was very interesting, everyone was really repectful towards the actors and the shooting process even the little kids were quiet when they yelled silence and I found it every fascinating how they tricked with the newer stuff in the castle and how little lighting they actually use for the shots.
