My own Spires idea took a turn into a completely different direction than what I planned last night. Odd how that is, since I'm enjoying it quite a bit but it's so very different. Far more friendly and less technical then I had initially planned.

Also, since it's supposed to be John centric, do you think they'd mind me sneaking other characters in?

I'm amazingly awake considering the fact that I only slept for 4 hours. I got a large portion of my first Spires entry done as well as a lot of Tweaking on

svmadelyn's Heroes project.

Art Recs

As you probably know

paintedspires has started and the first entries have started flowing in. Here are a few I truly enjoyed.

Detective Noir by leyna55 impressed me the most. The Amount of work and detail that went into this is stunning. It's been painted ith a graphic tablet it seems and well, just go look for yourself.

The Electric Things Have Their Life Too by steammmpunk. And no, it's not a Terminator AU at least I think it's not. I also found this Bones SGAAU in her lj that I find quite stunning.

Wonderful comic like artwork by astridv. It's got Todd and Ronon fighting side by side!

Then there is Uncounted by aesc. I always have this notion about thinking and processes taking place inside of us when I look at her pieces. And the theme for me, fits this.

Not Spired related is this Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Artwork by lambent. It was done for me as part of the Flash fiction. The prompt I gave was Tin Man.

The Ollian

I also watched a large portion of the Ollian vids again and have decided that you all should suffer with me. I'm hopeless ;)

frogspace got my hopelessly readdicted to the German soap Opera "Verbotene Liebe." Or rather, the pairing Oliver/Christian.

It always took just one pairing ;) Its basically a coming out story, but I think for a soap, the language aside, it's wonderfully done. And really you should all watch it. People make it easy for you.

There are clips in chronological oder with and without subtitles on youtube. And there is already a wonderful community which helps you with where you need to start. Find out more here

Whee! I wanna see it too. Actually, I'm tempted to get my tablet out again and see if I can't try myself. But I haven't drawn in ages, besides, no way I'll ever be that good ;-)

Oh no! You beat me to the fanart recs! I just made exactly the same entry. Well, almost. *g* My Oliver/Christian rambling will follow in a separate post. :P

*laughs* I don't think they would complain about getting recs ;) But cool that you chose the same. I'm scared about mine now. Because I had close to no time! I invested 3 hours so far. That isn't all that much, I think.

And I wish I could draw, especially with a graphic tablet. I'm really jealous ;)

I foudn this giga interview so funny when they said that it seems liek mostly women are fans of Christian/Oliver and I almost felt like..don't you know about slash fandom!!!!

I am just really glad for your "help," because now I can watch the whole story in one go without having to watch the whole show itself. I mean, I used to be an avid watcher when the show started and even years after that, but now I just don't feel it anymore all in all, just occasional eps in case my mom is watching it (which she does every day of the week).

I've gotten ooked again..or rather..I'm watching all just to know what's going on. But some stuff... just...it's baaaad!

I can't believe I'm watching "Verbotene Liebe", but I am. The boykissing cannot be resisted.
