omg
right now..this very moment...I'm glad I didn't go to uni.
Because the way the snow is coming down, there is no chance I would have actually gotten back home!

Oh??
We only have tiny, cure flakes coming down here - and not that many of them either. I hope you didn't have your correction today?!
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 12:36 pm (UTC)
Nope,..I had my corretion monday...I just have some stuff there, that I need...but I can find that..somehope..or do something else first.

No Busses going right now is the problem. I dread tomorrow.

Only tiny flakes? *envies* I wish it were holiday.. *schlitten fahren*

It's snowing so much that no busses are driving?? o.O Wow. (Where exactly are you anyway? *lol*)

Oooh, playing outside with sleighs would be lovely! But we just don't get "proper" winters anymore. And I don't have a sleigh...

It's the same here, we used to get the really nice winters with so much snow you could hardly get outside the door, you'd spend days building small snow houses and snowmen, go on a sleigh. Nowadays it just doesn't snow that much, or it does and then a couple of hours later it rains...so typical Denmark. All because of that dreaded global warming.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:01 pm (UTC)
and then it all melts away :-)
I think it's gonna start raining soon.
[identity profile] kia-ora.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:02 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I remember the good old winter fun days as well. At least we can still enjoy watching some snow flakes falling to the ground, even though they disappear so quickly. Imagine we wouldn't see any snow at all anymore... :(

And I know it's some kind of stereotype, but I always assumed you still had proper winters in Denmark! Global warming is horrible.
[identity profile] emmynoscar.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:12 pm (UTC)
It's been like that this year, with the snow flakes just falling and disappearing the minute they hit the ground. November this year was the warmest we've had in over a 100 years.

And it's not that much of a stereotype. It used to be like that in the winters, lots of snow - so much you couldn't go to school (that one I loved in particular). Now it just seems we have a lot longer autumn and spring months.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:00 pm (UTC)
Well...I live on a hill... the train is way down. so I'm sorta cut off right now..from civilazation. And I realized i don't have any heat switched on. No wonder I'm cold.

yeah---I don't have one either..but one can use plasic bags...best the blue ones...the one with the thick material. *grins*

I feel like bilding a snowman.
[identity profile] kia-ora.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:05 pm (UTC)
I hope you've turned the heat on immediately! *lol* And that you made yourself some yummy tea. :)

It would be great to be able to have in the snow, wouldn't it?!
(But [livejournal.com profile] shruuf has no gloves! And we don't have enough snow. Just enough to complicate things...
[identity profile] shruuf.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:09 pm (UTC)

aw, bad idea. i ruined my favourite blue velvet pants when i was trying to get down a hill on a plastic bag three years ago. he. was fun, though ^^

and no, i don't have gloves. na, who needs gloves anyway o.O
[identity profile] emmynoscar.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 12:26 pm (UTC)
It was snowing in this area as well when I got back from the airport, hate driving while it's snowing, the roads are icy and it's really really dark...

What did you decide for btw, the diploma or BA...?
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 12:38 pm (UTC)
mmm..do you have Winterwheels??? *hugz*

and I haven't decided yet, need to wait at least for tomorrow..then we'll get information. But I'm kinda leaing to diploma, since it's not marketing but art. and it's more accpeted since the bachelor isn't a real bachelor.
[identity profile] emmynoscar.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 12:42 pm (UTC)
My friends picked me up, think they have. You have to in this weather, but I still don't enjoy it that much driving in this weather.

When will you be finished if you do the diploma...and FYI I think you can get in no matter what (at a Uni in the states), even if the degree you take is one they might not have previously accepted at the Uni you would consider continuing your studies at. They'd let you in if you just passed a few small tests, showing you where at the right level.

And *G* don't see the point of a BA if it isn't a real BA ;)
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 12:58 pm (UTC)
good...*g* I don't have any...so I'm stuck with walking..*sigh*

Means I have to get up early tomorrow.

The Diploma would be done next april..so in 2005.

And right on the last point.
[identity profile] emmynoscar.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:08 pm (UTC)
We'll be finished about the same time then :) Thought you were going to finish in November, might have heard wrong at some point...maybe it was all the Baileys! ^_^

Walking will do you good...love walking. Just as long as it isn't raining. But it is quite a walk to take if it's cold. And hon...snow don't stick around for that long these days...might be gone tomorrow.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:14 pm (UTC)
lol...I wish it were the bailys..lol actually..bachelor will be finished in november..diploma in april...

walking wll d me good? lol...my butt says so too. But I don't have shoes with profile!
[identity profile] emmynoscar.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:33 pm (UTC)
*G* wasn't meant in a bad way...just know myself that I tend to stay inside a lot during the cold winters - so getting out is always good.

LOL and good, I wasn't too wacked on the Baileys then. :D
[identity profile] shruuf.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 12:49 pm (UTC)
omg o.O

[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 12:57 pm (UTC)
I'll keep my thumbs up.... *g* your train shouln't be much of a problem. this hill is. grrr..you know..the one we walked once.

[identity profile] shruuf.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:05 pm (UTC)
ja, i know :/

well, i'm not really worried about the train. but i got to the station by bus (because i couldn't find my car under the heap of snow o.O), so i might have to walk home... [/scared]
[identity profile] kia-ora.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:09 pm (UTC)

[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on January 28th, 2004 01:15 pm (UTC)
