Scotland

Because the sheer amount of pictures was too much for my photoshop (5 crashes!!!) I''ve decided to post the Scotland pics and report in several pieces.

We rented a car in Edinburgh and went north. Supposedly the drive was 4 hours, but we stopped every so often to take pictures and took detours. Lesson one, even if it seems that it's not really a road, it IS. I was so surprised how small those motorways were sepecially judging from the map. That said, I think it is very very cool.

As you may have heard, me and two other goergeous ladies, [livejournal.com profile] untitledno8 and T went to Rome last week for some culture (and other things). I'm too lazy to post details about everything we did see, however we walked a lot. Our Hotel was in the center, which was awesome. I wasn't so much in the mood to take pics this time, so I don't have that many that I personally like. But there are some sights and some impressions. Rome is VERY touristy and very packed. Oddly enough, everyone seemed to speak German. Even in the resaurants and in our hotel. Also I kept messing up italien and french. It was quite disconcerting. Anyways, it's a shame. I kept wishing that some of the historical sights were more intact. But it's so interesting how little has changed concerning how we built things. And how huge some of them were. I keep wondering what will be left of us in 2000 years time.

Also traffic in Rome in insane. Moreso than in Paris. Anyways, Rome is beautiful. We also spent a lot of time reading in various places.

So I'm back from Paris, which was largely a great trip and a great success, aside from getting wet to the bone and riding the most horrendous buses in the history of buses- My back my never recover.

In any case, we saw Saint Chapell, The Louvre, Versailles and lots of the Fete de la Musique and The Jazzers rocked especially. I loved them so. We spent a lot of time walking, in french bistros and getting it on by strange men (do you want to learn french?). Most of the stuff that was said, I did not understand. My french is rather bad and just enough to order food and by Metro tickets and on occasion, ask for the toilett. Maybe I should ask Joe F. to teach me.*g*

Also, for some bus travel company quoting. "There are eatable fish in the Seine. The can be fished and eaten, so do not pee into the Seine."

Anyways, here are a few impressions Read more... )

Yesterday, we displayed the strangest weather, which sort of lead to those shots (the guy in the car took pics as well ;)

one more )

Last but not least, I preordered A Dog's Breakfast on www.Amazon.com. You should do the same *g*
It's David Hewlett's movie, which I for one loved a lot.

Also, there is a quite lovley interview with Joe F. here with him looking all scruffy. Not spoilery for season 4 I think.

ps: thsoe are not the special pics from the "Toycamera". Those are of the few I took with my digicam.
