Because the sheer amount of pictures was too much for my photoshop (5 crashes!!!) I''ve decided to post the Scotland pics and report in several pieces.
We rented a car in Edinburgh and went north. Supposedly the drive was 4 hours, but we stopped every so often to take pictures and took detours. Lesson one, even if it seems that it's not really a road, it IS. I was so surprised how small those motorways were sepecially judging from the map. That said, I think it is very very cool.
Took several pics out of the car.
Made a stop at this very cool bridge only to discover that it was a damn.
Scotland is officially rainbow country ;)
Double rainbow!
Our apartment was fucking fantastic. Huge kitchenm, huge living room, three badrooms, wonderfully supplied. A laundry machine. It was grand. We were in a tiny town called Achnanderach near Plockton right next to the Isle of Sky.
On day two we made a trip to the Isle of Sky. the urge to stop the car every 10 meters has not lessoned ;) Also the weather that day was fantastic.
Someone made us go hiking ;) This is the Old Man of Storr. Legoline and I took pics for hours and drew the wonderful mountains while waiting for the others to return who were aiming to go even higher.
Also saw the castle Dunvegan. It's the actual castle of clan McLoad. Not pictures, because my pics suck.
Later we decided to see a light house, which ended in a hike up this wonderful mountains, the best view ever and the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. Also the first evidenced sheep. Honestly, the sheep are everywhere. I was especially amused of how they run on the street or are sitting on the side watchign cars ;)
Really, this was sort of the first day and it's hard to believe what we've all seen. More reports to follow at some point. Time isn't on my side right now.
