Those are awesome icons. I love that they're different in shape and coloring than most icons. Nice job!

THa'ts good...cos I was aiming for different. There were so many complaints lately about people ripping stuff.

It's so true though, *so* many icons lately look people are following tutorials so exactly that they make the same icon. It's annoying. I'm sure I'm a victim of it sometimes, but I try to use techniques and not just copy.

Some might. But a lot of people actually don't.
I knwo a lot of stuff you see on icons first...has been there before...in the media, on posters..etc. I've seen it and I hate it if people go and start claiming a universal photoshop technique.

I don't like copying either.... but I don't mind it....I think it's flattering actually. It's like a shrine, a testament to your skill, that someone would go and deem your icon worth that. To besinpired by it. It's complete copying that pissed me off.

Yeah, thats what I mean, complete copying. I know that I've taken a few new brushes/techniques recently, and my icons have turned out very similar to other peoples, but I just hate complete copying. Who it really sucks for is the person who does it, because it kind of just makes them look stupid. Well, if you know that they copied it.
