John Sheppard: Assassin

I've finished my first

paintedspires entry last night and here is the result. It's a poster for a would-be-story about the Assassin John Sheppard having to kill famous golfer Rodney McKay. Wether or not they get to know each other or what happens. I will leave that to you imagination.

The prompt was supposed to be John-centric, guns and golf. There are no spoilers.

I am childishly amused by the emphasis on 'ass' ~~because when trying to kill ROdney McKay, well...~~

The poster is great, I love the splashes of color and the drawn in flag. Also, the stray bullet in the upper portion. Though I must ask, is that a big damn spider on the barrel of the gun? Is it bleeding? (I ask only because I want to make sure my eyes aren't playing tricks on me.)

I childishly did that on purpose! *cough*

And well, there is a spider and there is blood but the spider isn't supposed to be bleeding. It's just to show danger.

Oh, that is awesome. I love the darkness with the little bursts of color. And those bullets are wicked. Plus, that pic of Joe down there at the bottom is one of my favorites ever. Personally, I think poor John the assassin falls in love and they live happily ever after, thank you very much. ;)

I'm kind of hoping for a happy ending myself. There could be lots of turmoil and hot sex and mistaken identities and angst because of course John doesn't want Rodney to know what he is, but cannot tell the Boss (Sumner maybe) why getting the job done is taking so long!

And The almost all grey was a last minute decision.... Before that, the two Johns in the middle where colored and it doesn't seem half as cool and exciting.

And I love that pic as well even though he looks a bit like a playboy.

Oh wow! This is SO freakin awesome! I'm totally in love with this! :D And the typo is doing all sorts of things to me. ♥

I'm trying out certain styles to improve myself. I so this chopped lines thing on a poster and felt it's so cool. I had to incorperate it!

You kill me with your gorgeous graphics. Seriously, SCC was fantastic, but this one's mindblowing.

And John won't kill Rodney,'cause he's in lurve, but will fake both of their deaths and they'll live happily ever after.

And totally. I agree about that and in the end Rodney will forgive John for lying to him and they will go after the guy who hired John in the first place.

Oh, so cool. I love the distant perspective, the color shift, adn the touch of surrealness in the golf scene. Great sense of movement, great storytelling. A whole universe opens up. OH, AND IT'S GORGEOUS.

Holy cow. That's like...so amazing. Your edges are so clean and the tones blend so well...I cannot fathom how you do that. And now I've gone back and looked at it again and caught even more detail...excellent!

Wow. Very intense. I love how dark it is, with these shotgun bursts of color. And the bullet casings flying around are a brilliant touch. Fantastic!

I kind of inappropriately love scenes where John has to use a weapon. Is that so wrong?

Well, it cannot be wrong since I like those too.. But actually I kind of like John in any way shape or form ;)
