I also have a laptop which is 1024x768, but you couldn't select two options...

1440x900 - I have found some I like on the internet, but from a fanart perspective, no. I almost never see ones posted on LJ that are in any form of widescreen, let alone this size.
Before I had the 1440x900 monitor for this PC, I had a 1280x1024 panel, and while I managed to find some fantastic walls in that size, again it was a size lacking in fannish wallpaper.

It's just that I like how the icons and everything is bigger in that resolution. Everything looks so tiny otherwise! It's funny to switch from my laptop to old computer sometimes. I should stop doing that because it's hurting & confusing my eyes.

What's the resolution on your screen? I feel like mine is ancient... as I'm sure no one has a 17" screen anymore... plus they don't sell them these days! Thing is, my screen works perfectly fine but if I had the money, I'd love to get a bigger one since I watch tv (via a tv tuner) on it these days too.

My resolution is 1280x1024. and yeah... I do not have a TV, so that is what I use.

for my desktop computer, i usually go for 1280x1024 and scale it down, works most of the time.
i've found it really hard to find wallpapers for my laptop at first, though 1280x800 is more common now than it used to be. right now I use a wallpaper that's actually 1280x1024 and cut the bottom off :o
