And YES!! You can.
So here is the thing, I discovered a few things while beta testing the layout. There are some things that 3colum doesn't have that I want, there are other things that 3 column has that I want to be different and that are different in other styles... so the job is to mix and match and I have no idea if that is possible to the extent that I want it to be.
Is there a feature in any lj style that simply automatically lists all tags used on the index page?
So..what I actually did discover that I saw before and find odd, is that, when you have your layout set so it views all friends-list entries in your own style, the it does so, but it not only shows the entry of the person on your flist, but changes all the relative link on your layout as well.
So if you generally link to aa userinfo instead of linking to your own (lj then chooses yours automatically), then in the friends view the userinfo links to the person who made the entry and not your own journal.
In that case would you prefer relative or direct linking?
As comparison, the tags/keywords are directly linked and always go to my journal.
ETA: so my big discovery doesn't actually work... it only works if you create the style in the advanced customization center and then apply it. The only thing I could do,is make screenshots for you with the style applied to your journal. Should you like that.
Damn... I'm gonna write a mistake list soon.
