So, I was treating myself to some Defiant One and ended up making way too many screencaps of the pretties. Which in turn, made me do icons. Of a scene I haven't seen iconed that much, at least I don't think so...

Also made icons for one of my most well-loved movies.

1-6: Star Aars - A New Hope
7-15: Stargate Atlantis - The Definant One

Yep there is. In my program, it's called Auto Thumbs. Basically I say I want a cap taken every two seconds, every second or every five seconds (or whatever really) and it does it all by itself. Of course with automatic capping, you end up with some caps which are blurry or uninteresting. That's why when I do caps for sharing I cap the video manually so I can select the shots.

Naturally I could always select the shots after the automatic captures but then because I'm neurotic, I'd have to rename them because I know I wouldn't be able to stand having cap005 followed by cap009 because, as I said, neurotic. However when it's for my personal use, I just launch the beast, come back five minutes later and I have like more than 800 caps to choose from. Insane, I tell you.

Cool.. I might have to look into that prog :) Sounds like it lifts a major workloaf off your shoulders.

Man, together, we are like the best efficient people ever. My program is called snatchIt! It's been renamed to SnagIt! I think. It's very small. I can upload it for you if you want ;)

And I didn't know Photoshop could do that. Me who've been capping Nothing forever, because I'm hunting for all the perfect shots. Ask [livejournal.com profile] slodwick to whom I promised those caps eons ago. *face palm*

heee... all the knowledge combined..we can take over the world!!!

and omg sendme!! *giggles* I can go mad capping... hee..rofl.

and to batch rename in photoshop you use the File Browser click on a folder and choose Batch rename in the nav bar..you can choose on how many numbers... if you want a _ or not if you want capitals..etc.very practical!

You can also create batches in photoshop like resize 300 screencaps all at once with actions and just one command.

and rofl.. I so know what you mean. *g* I'm sure slod forgives you though ;)

Because you're at work right now? Are you telling me we've been chatting through comments for probably the last hour and you're at work? LMAO. I feel guilty now.

I guess I forgot about the time difference. It's 9pm here. Soon, soon, I'll be in your time zone again. Honestly, I cannot wait.

Well... erm.... *goesred*

Well yes...I am doing pretty typography things for a webpage. I hope the client will like it. And 9pm is evening? I will never learn the am/pm difference.

and I'm having fun.. chatting with you is goooood :) I feel much more lj posty and chatty now I got this job..it is actually sort of an oxymoron...a contradiction..but that's me.

am is for morning. (00-12)
pm is for afternoon and evening. (12-00)
a is for ante. Latin for "before".
p is for post. Latin for "after".
m is for meridian. Latin for "before noon".
which makes am kind of redundant, and pm sound quite silly but aye...
Ha!
Take over the world like you said.

9pm aka 21:00. Yo.

is actually sort of an oxymoron...a contradiction..but that's me.
That's good. I like oxymorons. I'm kind of one myself. I think everybody's like this. Example: Having essays to write and making icons - or in my case, papers to grade, blah, blah, blah.

rofl.. I will bookmark this for referral!!! *g*
21:00 i can deal with...

it is 16:09 here. 2 hours to go. *g* but that ain't bad!!!!!

and it's true... everybody has contradictions.. but i think your example as primarily to do with doing what is fun and doing what you have to do but don't want to. I know lots about it. *g*
