Star Trek
As done by JJ Abrams this is not gonna be a review because I have to be in bed. Thaat said..I've always been a Star Trek fan and as such. THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!

I haven't laughed so much in a movie in ages. I even cried at more then one occasion and that almost never happens!!!!! The casting was spot on. So brilliant really. I didn't believe Keith Urban could pull it off especially. that said... even if you don't like Star Trek so much, go watch it, it's highly entertaining.

A more coherent review (and icons) this weekend!

Whee, my first comment in dreamwidth (I'm sure you wrote this on LJ too).

I loved this movie too - it made me laugh, feel sad, feel very happy, feel very excited, and I was glued to my seat the whole time. I love every cast member and how they gelled together.

I really like Bones. I thought that the actor who played him really had a lot of the other actor's mannerisms and accent but at the same put a whole new spin on it. :)

I actually want to re-watch it again!!! :D

*psst*
I think you meant Karl Urban. Isn't Keith Urban Mr. Nicole Kidman? ;)

Good to hear another thumbs-up. I was a bit wary about the movie at first, but it's been getting positive buzz.

The casting was spot on. So brilliant really.

It sooooo was.

And Karl Urban is one of my favorite actors, but I totally didn't picture him as much of a McCoy... until I watched the movie. And damnit if he ain't the best damn Leonard McCoy since DeForest Kelley. Brilliant.

And they could not have picked a more adorable Chekov. Just sayin.

OMG... Evertime Chekov said Kirk I had a laughing flash. so adorable and awesome.

I loved the new movie, and I say that as a big Trek fan. It was a great reboot while still paying respect to the original series.

And OMG KARL URBAN. McCoy was already my favorite from TOS but now he's my favorite EVEN MORE.

I thought so too and I really don't get all the haters. I had so much fun with this!!!

And I loved him... though I pretty much loved them ALL!

OMG! I totally agree with you! I had so much fun at this movie. And yes, the casting was amazing, Karl Urban had Bones down pat.

That and getting to watch Zachary Quinto for 2 hours doesn't hurt.

Chris Pine was hilarious! I didn't know he had it in him.

And I just plain love Simon Pegg.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on May 20th, 2009 06:58 am (UTC)
Yes, yes yes, Chris Pine..I kind of have this crush. *cough*

And well..Simon Pegg was so funny :D
[identity profile] wickedvengeance.livejournal.com on May 20th, 2009 07:11 am (UTC)
Simon's always funny. And I'm totally developing a Chris crush too...Still love my Zach though. :)

mmm..I've never been all that into Zak..I like him and all, just not that much. I appreciate his hotness though ;)

[identity profile] wickedvengeance.livejournal.com on May 21st, 2009 02:09 am (UTC)
Zach is just a lot more my type than Chris is. :)
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on June 2nd, 2009 01:42 pm (UTC)
I don't really have a type. I can never quite say. I mean... Joe Flanigan looks more like Zach for instance.

So brilliant really. I didn't believe Karl Urban could pull it off especially.

So was I curious if he was able to pull it off - and he did it. From the first scene of Kirk and Bones, there was chemistry. It was fantastic.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on May 20th, 2009 06:59 am (UTC)
So totally and completely. I quite loved that!
[identity profile] tirica.livejournal.com on May 10th, 2009 11:29 pm (UTC)
I agree! I just watched it today: SO MUCH LOVE! Especially Karl and Zachary! They were perfect in their roles. So perfect. I'm a doctor not a "whatever he said this time" !!!

I'll probably watch it again tomorrow. =)
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on May 20th, 2009 07:00 am (UTC)
And Chris and Anton and Simon and Zoe!!! I watched it twice now. Probably will go a third time next week.

why was everyone afraid Karl Urban wouldn't make a believable Bones *is curious*

I cried right at the beginning, omg it was so sad and epic :/ I loved the things they did without any sound. Very nice.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on May 20th, 2009 07:01 am (UTC)
I dunno why. I cannot really say ;) Not that his helps. And I had tears in my eyes each time. Hardly ever happens to me.
