Imagine this, you've been sitting on the same fanart for hours, days, weeks, months.
You want to get it done. you have this brilliant idea, but you think it's lacking, you don't knwo what's missing...

Maybe you're character doesn't show the right emotions, your composition isn't strong enough or you just have the biggest block of creativity ever and you don't want to show this unfinished work to anyone yet.

What to do?

Well, the solution is simple. oxoniensis created artists_guild. rebelpoetus and I are helping her a bit.

It's a closed community, for artists of all levels in any medium (posts will be friends locked so there's no need to worry that everyone will see your unfinished art). It's somewhere to turn to when you need a second opinion on a piece of art, or get stuck, or just can't get it to look the way you want. Constructive criticism is what it's all about.

We've put quite a lot of guidelines in place to make sure people get the crit they need and to avoid spamming or flamming - sorry there are so many, but it should help the community run smoothly. More info can be found here.

The community looks and sounds fabulous, babe!! :D
However, I'm afraid it's for visual artists only (and my crap attempts at making wallpapers or icons don't count! *lol*), so I guess I'd be the odd one out there. :/ Too bad.

And hey, you're improving your photoshop skills. Kate and I will help you and in no time, you're art will be fuckin good. you could make a Matt/Dom porn, vampire manip for the thingy, for instance. *g*

Awww, thanks for saying my "art" (*ahem*) is not hopeless. *g*
I guess that if I actually knew how to, I could make it look a little better. The ideas are there, but not the knowledge how to realize them. But yeah, I'm so grateful I can come to you guys for advice and also just learn from watching. I need to play around with Photoshop much more, though. ;)

I might try to join after all. But not right away, I think. Got nothing to show off. *sigh*

Oh, it IS enjoyable - pity's just I never have enough time or energy. I hope that'll change soon! :)
