Ah. So much pretty. :)

Random, eh? I collect elephants.
... fake ones.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 01:11 pm (UTC)
*g*' thank you!

Elephants? Cute! Shame they aren' real or you could do Indiana Jones with them.

Garfield is my role model. Yes, the cat (http://www.garfield.com).
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 01:13 pm (UTC)
Hey that fits! Garfiled is ubercool and supercomposed. *g*

I love looking at the night skies. Especially on nights when the sky is full of stars or the monn is particularly gorgeous.

*hugs* Elli, I've missed getting to chat lately.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 01:21 pm (UTC)
oh, that's so cool. I live in the city so it#s hard seeing the stars. but as kids we used to camp outside with matresses and watch the stars. Makes one dream of different worlds and all that.

*g* I haven't been online much, but I hope you and your folks are fine.
[identity profile] happyminion.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 11:29 am (UTC)
These are lovely. There's always such a set mood to your pieces. I love the effects, they really stand out in the SV art realm.

Random and nice, hmmm. My favorite snack is still peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on white bread. But it has to be Jiff peanut butter and it has to be grape jelly.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 02:51 pm (UTC)
Thank you Wendi! Feedback like this means so much. Specially from you *g* I've been meaning to friend you, but you were faster did you know that? And I really enjoy Wally/chloe.

mmm...we don't really have lots of peanut butter here. I ony know with crisps and without. What's sepcial about Jiff?
[identity profile] happyminion.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 02:58 pm (UTC)
Just the flavor, I suppose. Some are more...peanutty? *g* It's a weird thing, choosing between Jiff, Skippy, Peter Pan and Reese's peanut butter. But I'm a Jiff girl.

You should let me mail you some small jars sometime in the future, you can do a taste comparison yourself!
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 03:10 pm (UTC)
So you like them less or more peanutty....

I know Skippy, btw. My aunt always had that and since I'd never been int he states before, ate way too much.

mmm..let you mail me FOOD? lomao. it's more about begging...lol..I love food. oo much for my own good.
[identity profile] happyminion.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 03:13 pm (UTC)
Ah, see, Skippy is too peanutty for me. God, that word looks really ridiculous typed out. Peanutty. *shakes it off*

Oh, and I totally spaced on thanking you for reading Wally/Chloe! So thank you! *g*
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 2nd, 2004 02:32 pm (UTC)
*grins*...ok it sounds almost like Nutty pea.
And no problem....it really is a great series. Chloe doesn't ge enough action, so it's a nice change.
[identity profile] shruuf.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 11:37 am (UTC)
something random? something nice? um.
i never stayed up to see the oscars live. i wanted to last night, but i fell asleep at 11pm and slept until 1pm... and i'm still tired o_O
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 02:52 pm (UTC)
oh..you missed it? Shame...I can send you johnny depp droolage if you want.

And i'm still tired as well...
[identity profile] mayphoenix.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 11:56 am (UTC)
Those pieces are so introspective. The artists who have such command over art programs like this just blows me away.

Something nice about me?

I love to cook for my friends.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 02:57 pm (UTC)
oh wow thank you! Although I certainly on't deserve that. *G*

Cooking? That's so sweet, I wish I could cook.
[identity profile] xnitelite.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 12:03 pm (UTC)
Ohhhhh. I like the mood and tone of these. Along with the textures in the background.

Random stuff--thanks to the latest rains, the pansies, violas and snapdragons are blooming nicely in our yard.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 02:58 pm (UTC)
Thank you!

Wow....you must really know a lot about flowers then...
Signe: Alias Syd Big Gun[identity profile] oxoniensis.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 12:20 pm (UTC)
I love these! Especially the top one, and the third from the bottom, with Lex's haunted expression. You've even brought out the texture in Lex's jumper to complement the style of the collages. Such wonderfully moody colours and blood splatter too!
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 03:02 pm (UTC)
Well....it was the color burn blend..not me...lol
*grins* cirratus brush does wonders...*g*

I love the haunted expression too...pics from hug. It's just so him, you know. I wish I could have found a way to incorperate that into the actual result.

Thank you!!!!!!
[identity profile] logovo.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 12:26 pm (UTC)
Saving away here, I love them and will decide on one to put on my work PC. Thank you!
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 03:01 pm (UTC)
*grins* whatever you like...almost all are desctop sized.

hugz
[identity profile] aelora.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 12:27 pm (UTC)
You're art is always so angsty and gorgeous and... wow. I wish I could do that. I would have Lexson art coming out of my ears.

Something random, eh. My favorite thing to do in the entire world is go out on my dad's fishing boat, a few miles outside the Golden Gate bridge, sink a line into the water and just stare at the horizon as I wait for a salmon to bite.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 03:04 pm (UTC)
Thank you! I'm an angst addict, so go figure. You know..you can always try...i'd give pointers.... I'd even share some of my secrets...lol

Question is...did you ever get a salmon? You could share it with me then.... hehe
[identity profile] onecoldcanadian.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 02:09 pm (UTC)
Wow that are the most gorgeous things ever. You are uber-talented.

Now then something random and nice? Although I often complain that I dislike kids or how many of them are all demon spawn and I don't want any of my own, but I secretly love them all (and especially the "bad" ones). I am probably the only "grown-up" in the family that still babysits because of it.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 03:06 pm (UTC)
wow, thank you! Although don't say that, it's bad for my ego.

Well....it doesn't need to be both random and nice, just something that comes to mind for you, something you would like to share.

And lomao on the babysitting front. Kids can really be a pain in the butt.
Cat[personal profile] akacat on March 1st, 2004 02:52 pm (UTC)
I adopt special-needs cats.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 1st, 2004 03:07 pm (UTC)
Really? You mean they are injured? Sort of have a broken leg?
I used to have an english teacher who picked up stray cats and fed them. she sort of belonged to a foundation.
CatHeights[identity profile] cheights.livejournal.com on March 2nd, 2004 10:17 am (UTC)
These are wonderful. I get that angsty tug in my chest just looking at them. I love them all, but the first and sixth are my favorites. In the sixth one, I love the expression on Lex's face, his mouth slightly open. For me it ups the feel of angst even more. Great work.

Let's see now, something random about me. I love to go to the beach on cloudy days, even better if it's drizzling out. The combination of grey skies, pounding waves, and dampness on my face always makes me feel incredibly free.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 3rd, 2004 01:30 pm (UTC)
Sorry about this...it was supposed to be my lj update...ack
Thanks for the wonderful feedback. You know how I love angst..and that you see it in my art! *g*

And I know about a beach that way....it's awesome...do you live near one?
CatHeights[identity profile] cheights.livejournal.com on March 4th, 2004 01:00 pm (UTC)
And I know about a beach that way....it's awesome...do you live near one?

I've got lots of beaches a short drive from where I live, many of which are rocky ones, and those are my favorite. Plus where I work downtown, it's only a five minute walk to the harbor. No beach, but still near the ocean, and the conference rooms in my office building have great ocean views. I can't imagine not living somewhere that the ocean would be accessible in some manner.

[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 4th, 2004 11:52 pm (UTC)
*isjealous*

I've never lived near the ocean. *g* Rocky sounds amazing! And all the fish you can eat.
[identity profile] imaginarytiff.livejournal.com on March 2nd, 2004 01:12 pm (UTC)
Ooh gorgeous, I love it! Your work always has a sort of narrative quality. I'm SO glad your subjects are in this fandom! :)

Randomly... I collect gargoyles, I have way too many magazines, and when I was four I wanted to be Wonder Woman.
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on March 3rd, 2004 01:32 pm (UTC)
I know it sounds stupid...but the fandom has great subjects!! *g* Thank you!!!! I'm always fearing it isn't too narrative.

And squee...Gargouyles as in the thigns that turn to stone? Magazines are good! And wonder woman...a worthy idol.
