Totally Shaken up...
I finished Asylum an hour ago and now I can't make myself go back to work.
I was shaking the whole fucking time...why did the pacing have to be so good. and The score and MR, did I mention MR yet? And TW too.... really TW at the beginning you sucked...but now...whoooo
Anyways....all the side characters..need spanking...
Martha, Jonathan and Pete...
Specially Pete...He once said about Lex and clark "They're like brothers" and now he tells clark not to trust him. Fuck. Clark was ready and willing to open up to Lex and now...
Lionel needs to get killed. Like right now. And maybe chloe will get killed over this...who knows. I predict she will find out next. Better her than Lana.
Clark should have told Lx in the end. I understand why he didn't. I think if so many people had been influencing me, I'd be at odds too. However what I don't get is, that even though Lex totally signaled he was ok with Clark being an alien, Clark still didn't let go.
And Lana and Adam. compared to the rest totally bored me to tears.
Ad there's soemthing I've observed from time to time. There is no mistaking that clark cares about Lex. And in fanfic Clark is always the affectionate one. But in Canon, Lex is ALWAYS the one initiating contact. Never Clark. Wonder what the reason is.

I never looked at it like that, but you're right. I wonder why it is that as writers, we always develop Lex as the standoffish one, when he obviously very much is not on the show?? I mean, he is with others but never with Clark.
Interesting thought. Perhaps Lex always craves contact and Clark is the only one he trusts enough to allow that contact to occur with. Whereas, when I think about it, Clark isn't very touchy-feely with anyone beyond his parents. Even when he was dating Lana he seemed a little stiff. (That came out wrong).
Hmmm. I'm going to have to pay more attention to this.

Yeah...we just project what we think he should be like.

Ya know..at first I thought it was just MR. but now..it's more than justr a coincidence.
So maybe Clark isn't sure of Lex. Not completely. Or of Lex' reactions and stuff. Or it has to do with him being what he is. I just can't wrap my head around it.

*grins* gotcha...I've been wonderign about this for quite some time. and now it's gotten to obvious to ignore.
