A while ago we did a throneland icon battle. The results have been posted and I've been meaning to share them in a larger icon post. However that larger icon post isn't happening right now, so I will just post the battle. I haven't made icons in ages so it was a lot of fun.

The only weird thing is that at my work monitor the quality looks abysmal. How does it look for you?

I have to admit that on my monitor your icons look to have bad image quality. They are either too pixellated or too sharp. The B&W icon in the first set is the only one that looks to have good image quality.

I wonder if it also has to do with photobucket and the fact that it somtimes makes the files smaller. But it looks so hidious.

I don't watch the show but I love your icons. The way you capture your subject and the colouring techniques you use. My problem when I try to make icons is that it's very hard for me find a pose or subject I like. :)

I takr a lot of time mosly just finding a cap I like. once I cropped something I also tend to use it over and over again. Not sure if that is the best way ;)

The image quality looks fine to me. And I love the amount of open space in your icons - they're beautiful.

Thank you very much. I made a test and photobucket has seriously made them more crappy though. It's quite sad.

They do look a bit pixelated. They did not look like that when I looked at them on my old laptop. WEIRD.

Especially the Tyrion one. I could read the text fine on my old laptop. Now it is blurry.

I made a different post earlier, comparing them and there is a definite difference quality-wise.

yeah I saw the one where they were side by side and it was quite clear there was a difference then. Especially the red one.

They look a little too sharp, but nothing I would call really bad. I'm on a 27" Full HD screen, if that helps.

Apart from the little sharpness, which I happen to like anyways, these are gorgeous. You still make the best negative space icons out there <3

Thank you very much. I made a comparison post with different hosting and there is a very definite difference.

And I'm glad you like then. It's nice to see I can still make a decent icon even after all this time.
