I haz a new toy.
Finally after years of thinking about it, I've got myself a more decent Macro lense for my camera. I've taking to to the trip to Duisburg innenhafen last saturday with [livejournal.com profile] half_lit_world including nightshoots, lots of experimentation and fireworks. Also found oput again that it's bad to shoot at night without a tripod.

Happy belated birthday [livejournal.com profile] ellethdartagnan, [livejournal.com profile] digitalwave and [livejournal.com profile] luciamad and a very happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] perardua and [livejournal.com profile] mcalex22!!!

whoo! love the eye shot! How did you do that XD I've tried to take photos of eyes but they're always out of focus or awkwardly composed because they're moving too much or SOMETHING

I'm glad you like it. I used a Canon EF 100mm/1:2,8 USM Macro. I just pointed aand shot to behonest. I used some manuel settings, but that was it.

Btw..how did you start with your photography?

well I took it in highschool and then I studied it at TAFE. It's interesting, I'd never noticed it before but it was never much of a play-around hobby for me. I mean, I've been interested in looking at TV promos and fashion photos as a hobby but I've always approached the act of taking photos from a studious point of view.
