Chicaaaaago
Chicago time was way too short. I'm at work again already. It's making me sad. I got back home to lots of rain and cold a contrast to Chicago, where the weather was awesome and just the way I like it. I largely thwarted the jetleg due to awesomeness. Basically I managed to stay up for 2 days straight.

Anyways, Chicago was great. We did all on foot and therefor saw a lot as well. A Highlight was the Art Institute and the Cultural Center. My favorite building was the Wrigley Building. We also did this very awesome tour on the wendella. I love the whole foods supermarket a lot and a store named Anthropology. Mostly just walking around with my mum ;)

Thank you :)
Did you live in the US at some point?
I think Chicago is Mid/West, yes... it's in Illinois. And it doesn't rain because I am back. I came back, it stopped raining. So it's more then a coincidence!

I use a canon eos 40d. Two different lenses, no filters. Though I want some. but my camera is damaged right now. Some pics I took with my iphone. None are color corrected. Just sharpened a bit.

And Chicago for one simple reason. My dad was there for three weeks working and invited me.

*lol* Cool! If my dad were working in the US, I'd go,too :D

But yeah, I lived for a year (Sep '99 - Sep 2000) in Columbia, MD as Au Pair. That's halfway between Washington, DC and Baltmore, MD.

And what I loved most about it, was the weather :D

An ah, okay, but a SLr, right?
Still, the sky looks so darn blue! I am jealous.

Yeah,..it's kind of a no-brainer right?

And Au Pair! I had thought about doing that too. I'm not sure why I didn't.

What about the weather?

And yes... itÄs an SLR. But they really bkue ones I did with my iphone.

That the sky was mostly blue and that when it rained then it rained and it rained hard, but when it stopped raining the clouds went away. And it wasn't cloudy and grey for days on end like here.
Also the seasons were well-defined with spring, summer, fall and winter, being distinctly different from each other like in a picture book. Not the mesh of all-rain, it feels like here.
I later learned that that is typial coastal weather, but since I had never experienced that before, it stood out to me.

Sadly you need to be under 26 or 27 to be an AuPair so you can't still go...

You mean it wasn't "Trist" like it is here ;) I can hardly see out the window with all this fog.

And I don't plan on being an au pair now. Maybe something different at some point.

Clear seasons seems nice!!
