TV-Show orama, reviewdom
In which I finally talk about my TV shows. BTW... there are possibly spoilers in there. I left space between shows so that you can avoid what ypu don't want to read about.

True Blood

Even know, over a week after season 3 finished, I'm still not sure I liked it or not. I think it's because I couldn't care about a majority of the storylines. Sam, HotShot was totally butchered, the fairy thing was way too soon.

I feel the only characters with redeeming qualities right now are Alcide, Pam, Eric and Jessica.. and yeah... Hoyt. And maybe in an absurd way Russel. Because he was so absurd.

I kinda wish they had stayd more with the book here. It would have meant way less Bill. Book 4 is next. Let's hope they stick to a lot that has happened there. Because that would rock!

White Collar

Still my favorite. Still absolutely love the banter between Neal and Peter. Still love the suits. Still love all the characters. Still love the swagger. And I so don't care that it's rediculous! Because the rest is good for my fangirl heart.

It's even gotten more slahsy even though I don't slash anyone. Cufflinks etc.

The Mozzie thing though... I have my theories there and we will see what happens. But I think Mozzie spent all this time being Go-to guy and I'm sure hes smarter and can outsmart them all.

Covert Affairs

Seems this season is over too. Or is it half a season? I'm not sure. I still enjoy it a lot. It's no Alias by a long shot, but I like that Annie seems to mostly enjoy what she is doing and even sometimes makes mistakes and gets in trouble for them. And I love Auggie a lot. I'm missing an overall arc though that is not Ben Mercer, because even thiugh the guy is from Center Stage I don't care all that much about him.

Nikita

The jury is out on this for me. I love Maggie Q. But that it sort of as far as it goes. I don't feel like I wasted my time, but I'm not sure where this is going either. She is too much on her own.

Haven

I really enjoy Haven a lot. And it's not just for the squee brought on by [livejournal.com profile] prettybutt. I really like all the characters. From Audrey to Nathan and Duke and to the brothers who I adore and all the other quirky people. It reminds me a bit of Gilmore Girls. The scenery is amazing and the things that happen, the supernatural stuff isn't too unoriginal. o idea where it is going though. I just hope they won't have a love triangle rivalry thing. I hate those.

Merlin

Thank you, thank you fro not hitting the reset button. Thank you for making it darker. Thank you for the wonderful mood it had. Also for Arthur shirtless. You can never have enough of that.

What I didn't like... the scene with the bucket. I hate these kind of "funny" scenes. Also dear Arthur, catch a clue and appreciate Merlin. And dear Morgana, stop smirking.

My biggest fear right now is that they spent the entire season with Morgana smirking and sheming and Merlin twarting her but not being able to say anything because then his secret would come out.

Fringe

I finished Fringe. I took me three trys. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] half_lit_world I stuck around and was rewarded! I'm not saying the dialogue gets better or anything. But I missed shows with good overall season/series arcs (Lost) and Fringe and JJ do it so well.

And It's always so nice if you have a theory and it happens to be true. So I loved the season 2 Peter arc a lot. Even though they drew it out for ages. I loved that I was right about Walter causing the soft spots to travel between the universes.

Season 3 starts Friday I think. It would be so awesome if it so happened that neither universe/side had the more rightful place to exist. That as an audience you couldn't decide which you would want to survive and which you want to perish.

Vampire Diaries

In the s2 pilot they shook the whole thing upside down. Quite cool I must say. I hope VampireCaroline will stick around. Damon is still the best though. Steffen annoys.

Happy belated birthday [livejournal.com profile] mskatej, [livejournal.com profile] aesc, [livejournal.com profile] fromward, [livejournal.com profile] amberlynne and [livejournal.com profile] _excentric_!

heee. I couldn't agree with you more. (On everything except Covert Affairs, cause I never watched that.)

and I thought Stefan got better by the end of last season and I especially liked him with Katherine in the Season opener. he didn't seem his broody self, which was refreshing.

See..the fact that we have the same opinions should get you to watch Covert Affairs ;)

And true about Stefan. Somethin g rubs me the wrong way about him.. it's actually the actor I think. I cannot get over Lukas Luthor ;)

I know what you mean concerning Merlin. I for my part liked the bucket scene. What I didn't like was the training scene. Arthur was back to 100% prat then. And he was really close to realise that Merlin has thrown the spear that saved his life in the woods. I just hope that Arthur will find about Merlin's magic soon. They could and should fight together against Morgana. It's about time that Arthur finds out about Merlin. *sigh*

Nice! I didn't know you watched any of those. //)

I am only actively watching Vampire Diaries and Merlin (and the latter for no more than three weeks).

I totally did not know that Paul was on SV and I'm also glad I didn't watch him in anything else before. He is kind of wood-like with his stance and his over-clear pronunciation, but I really liked him in season one. But then I got to love Damon, like everybody else, and now... I'm just really enjoying the show. And not just for the pretty and slashy like on Merlin.

I don't like any of the scenes where Arthur treats Merlin like shit, and I can't just handwave them, either. It just ruins my whole motivation for seeing them together. I haven't had to bear it long (I've only seen ten episodes or so), but I still wish Arthur would clue in already. Although I don't think it's likely to happen very soon. ;)

At least there is great fic in that fandom.
