The first week has already past...

Vacation week one is already over. How can this be? One week used to be more time. More time for leasure, more time for relaxation, cooking, the god life...

It's not like I haven't done anything this week, it really isn't. Two weeks is just not much time it seems.

Spent Wednesday evening in my parents garden and took tons of pics of the lavender.

Garden

Yesterday, my friend Y came over to chat and I painted a picture for my wall. I ended up painting a picture for my wall. It's not that I didn't like it...it just looked more like a painting for a kids room.

Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, Elizabeth Mitchell and Matthew fox have been nominated for emmy this year!!!!! How awesome is that?!
How sad it it that Alex had to step out of the SYTYCD competition. He was by far my favorite. Last weeks Hip Hop routine that he did was really amazing. Lauren though, I loved her this week.
I made progress on my McShep Match entry and am now completely stuck :(

Das ist betimmt nicht meine letzte Leinwand, Maus. Ich habe z.b gerade alles neu gemacht. Macht vpoll Spaß, ich überlege, ob ich mir ne steffelei hole.

And I really like elephant paintings. I keep threatening to steal

surferartchick's elephant painting.

Of course I also have Snoopy and Looney Tunes posters in my room, so maybe I am not the right one to judge if a painting is for a kid's room or not. But I think everyone should have an elephant in their room. I named

Yeah, I thought so too!!!!

And I love elephants. And this one came out nice. Though not abstract enough. I don't like it wen the art is too specific.

And rofl... the elephant.. omg. A friend of a friend did those vids as well...

And I'm afraid Gred didn't bode well for me elephant. He died and became typography.

I might get my new camera tomorrow, if I can get myself to actually go out in that heat and take a train into the city. Well, probably next week then. ;)

But I can't wait just to take dozens of pictures. With the analog camera you always had to think of whether or not you really want to waste film and oftentimes I would miss good moments then.

The fivedotnerds vids?

Poor Greg. Though typography is nice and nerdy as well.

Yeah, why bother going through that heat, sweating my heart out on the train, walking through the concrete jungle of Hannover, pick up the camera and then not being able to go out anyway due to heat stroke. So maybe waiting until next weekend might be smart. Though of course it could be way hot then, too. I am conflicted.

I went and picked it up last weekend. Sweated out a few liters on the way.

I just haven't had a chance to test it out yet. But I made myself familiar with a few functions and hopefully will be able to take it out this weekend.

Saturday is supposed to be hot again, but Sunday is only supposed to be about 25°C. So that sounds promising.

I am so excited even though I will only learn about proper digital photography in September, but it can't hurt to take some pictures before that, right? :D
