• I spent 15 minutes laughing about this. Maybe it's because I'm tired. This weekend we have our annual Kick Off party for work and supposedly it will snow quite badly at night. We will see what happens. Also I have nothing to wear.
• I'm quite good at my New Years resolution to not buy some much crap. I resisted the delicious donuts 3 times already and didn't buy gossip mags or any sort of chocolate either.
• Tonight I will look at two more apartments. The one that I really wanted I didn't get. hopefully those I will see tonight are nice. I might give up at some point.
• Goodreads and some other factors, mainly my returned enjoyment for books, have lead to the fact that I'm reading quite a bit. I started rereading a cycle of Marion Zimmer Badley's Darkover novels and read one new one and it's quite nice to be in this universe again. All the characters and this world are so familiar. It's like putting on an old pair of really comfortable socks. And even though I notice the shortcomings of these novels more than I did when I was little, it's still nice and familiar.
• I'm re-eatching Rome. The HBO show and I have to say I'm still in awe how they can work with this age old material, a story that we know how it ends and make it this exciting
• Do you think it's two late to pimp my icon post from sunday almost a week after I posted them?

ps: If you work with Germans and try to contact one who is missing from work due to an illness, his boss will tell you that he is sick until next Thursday. That’s because Germans go back to work when their doctor schedules them to be well again.
