Do you feel my Glee?
You know what show makes me happy? Now that would be Glee. Yes, it's that satiric, musical show. It's funna and uplifting and well, it simply fills me with Glee.

So first of all, I didn't like Showmance so much, which had to do mostly with the music. I missed the sounds from the Pilot. That changed with Acafellas and Preggers though. Both were fabulous.

I love how most of the relatsionships between the characters aren't cliched. I love how Finn seems totally ok with Kurt being gay. It shows he's finally becomeing his own man. He was also the one who stood by Will when the rest of the group wanted to hire the douchebag choreographer. I love how Will is becoming a father-figure for him.

What I loved the most though is how they dealt with Kurts being gay. Of course everyone knows. But I really loved how his father reacted. It wasn't the standard, drama-creating deniel. "I've known since you were three." Hr's not happy about it but he accpects it.

Best part of the episode for me though was the football game. The dancing was brilliant and I loved that our brave little Kurt got to be the hero. I had this strange urge to rewatch Friday Night Lights.

Which reminds me I need to tell a Story. I bet dome of you have seen the Saturday Night Live spoof with Justin Timberlake abd know about the dancing in the skin suit and well. My friend Rene knows I hate this song, so every know and then he will plant an ear worm and it will be stuck with me for days. Uks. And well..we start dancing. So that made me smile a lot.

That's what I probably loved most. It was neither the "BEING GAY IS EVIL!" nor the "I TOTALLY ACCEPT IT BECAUSE AND LOVE YOU ALL THE MORE!" response by his father but an actual parental reaction. Yay.

Yeah. And I totally expected it simply because Kurt always told of his dad only in regards to his car and being taken away for doing girly stuff. That sort of set the tone for me.

Exactly. So, I'm very happy with Show right now :D

I love Glee so much! It's such a fun thing and it always cheers me up! It'S really a pleasure to watch. I have always been a fan of this show-choir stuff and the dancing is so cool! :D

Exactly!!! And the stories itself are not too shabby either!

Yes to all of this. Especially the FNL rewatch. The footbal game made me all nostalgic for the Panthers.

Apparently at the end of October!

YAY... that's not too far away.

I loved everything about Kurt's storyline, especially him being in the football team and being great at what he's doing... aaaand his father's reaction.
It was just perfect :]

but at the same time I hate everything about that pregnancy storyline, the highschool part AND the teacher/wife part. Because everything is is sooo flawed.
I'm trying to see logic where no logic is...

and then there's Rachel.
Diva!Rachel, OMG, I want to rip her apart.
For once someone else is singing a "lead" part and she's showing her attitude like there's no tomorrow.
UGH.

Don't get me wrong, I like Glee, but I don't LOVE it, yet.

This is why I didn't mention the pregnancy storyline. I hate it with a passion. Terri is pissing me off.

And I usually liek Rachel. But she needs to learn some modesty. Seriously.

Hee..I love it anyways.
It's Sarah!: [G] Don't stop![identity profile] killmotion.livejournal.com on September 27th, 2009 12:15 am (UTC)
I can't say anything more than I agree! :D

Wohoot!

I SO heart this show, so much. Oddly I feel no desire to write for it (ok, that's a lie. Not as much a NEED, but a widdle bittie feeling that maybe), but so much love! <3<3

And YES! GO KURT! I love Chris Colfer for completely going for that character and pulling it off so well :D
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on September 29th, 2009 10:35 am (UTC)
Well... I have this theory. some stories are too dense to write for them. Like say Veronica Mars. I loved that show but I never found any caps. I think other shows are easier to write for in that respect.

And yeah. Chris is doing a good job!
