My computer keeps making these odd tictac noises and once he doesit keeps freezing. So I have no idea what's going on. Is it the motherboard, the harddrive... And everything is really slow. Any ideas, what that could be?

In any case, I've been meaning to post some photography. The first batch is from Pfingst monday. We went on a littlte tour de Ruhr and I took lots of pics. Some pics were from alittle cooking adventure made on thursday and some were taken while I was driving my bro to a party. I always wanted to take a shot of that strawberry.

I've always wanted to see these ruins more closely.

Kate actually stumbled upon this.

The noises from your computer sounds like it might be a harddrive problem. You might want to backup the important stuff and send it in for a look at.

Such pretty open spaces! I kinda love the giant strawberry *g*

Keine Ahnung, bin da nicht so der Experte drin, hab bisher "nur" 2 Festplatten verloren und da war es jeweils mit so lauten Geräuschen.
Da war es dann aber auch schon immer zu spät als noch was zu retten.
Ich würd also so schnell wie möglich machen ;)

Vielleicht ist es aber auch doch was ganz anderes, bei meiner externen war es bei so leisen Geräuschen "nur", dass ich das Gehäuse wechseln musste.

Also es war die Platte... mein Freund S hat mich geholfen. Gott sei Dank war es keimn mechanischer Fehler :D

That noise is a classic sign of hard drive failure. I'd back everything up just to make sure, and look at replacing it in the near future. :)

You were right. A friend came over and checked it out.. thank got it wasn't mechenical and he could repair it. At least we hope so!

As to your PC, just to join everyone else in saying it, that is most often a sign of impending HDD doom. Might be a good idea to burn a load of stuff on to DVD (or if you only have a CD burner, the most important stuff on to CD).
