And about leto Leto, my goodness, they did such a good job on the miniseries, specially considering it could have gone just so horribly wrong. Loved the Dune books so much, it would have been very painful.

I'm always hopeful that it will inspire more fanfic, but I've seen very few stories posted.

I've never read any dune fanfic... I dunno...I loved the actor they chose as Leta. Paul newman who's pault just doesn't really cut it for me.

I'm very patient, or at least strive to be, heh, and who knows when inspiration might strike.

I've read very few Dune fanfics, and the ones I've read are tiny. I was hoping they would take of from the miniseries, but nope, not really.

My main issue with the Lynch movie Paul was how old he was, but compared to the one in the miniseries he was so much better, to my taste at least.

There are a lot of dune fics featuring Duncan Idaho, I think. at fanfiction.net at least. I think both Pals that were cast were crappy *g* They lacked power. They lacked period.

I liekd the miniseries better though because more issues were adressed.

I just remembered seeing those! I remember they were ok, but Duncan was never one of my favorite characters until Chapterhouse Dune, and even then all the Bene Geressits had more of my attention.

On duncan. I have the problem that even though I like him, I never could identify with the later parts of th books, because all the characters I had grown so accustomed to reading about were already gone.
