OMG Lost, SCC

First of all, most of you probably don't realize just how much, HOW MUCH I'm looking forward to the new season of Lost.

Now this goosebumb creating teaser popped up! Omg omg... excitement. January 21 cannot come fast enough. Guys.. go watch.... it isn't too spoilery if you have season the last season.

I watched the new Sarah Connor Chronicles episode last night with legoline. I just love this show so much. Not just because of all the metaphors and the characters and the adventure. I keepm trying to make sense of it and what I come up with isn't that at all.

Because last night we were sitting at the edges of our seats and we were so shocked and tense about all those little moments. Because obviously this is supposed to be Terminator, an action adventure show. Isn't that what you would expect? But it never ever is. Last nigths episode to me seemed so quiet. There was a lot of stuff pannimg out that's been building up. Like Riley. I never would have dreamed that any of it would happen. With her and I mean all of it and it's become to me one of the most intruiging aspects of the show, that there is more then one battle of sorts. That in the future there is a bland man and machine, john and Cameron in a sense that other humans see it as a threat and act on it.

That scene with Jessie and Riley when they come into that hotel room was so strong to me. No sound at all except the music and the wonderful way the used the camera. Female characters and female relationships on that show are for TV out of the norm. Real and tangible to me and I love that.

That said.. cliffhanger WTF????

sheafrotherdon has a great insight on this episode here. Not being from the US I tend to miss those kind of things, but the meta is awesome.

that episode of T:TSCC was so awesome, it makes up for -what in my opinion were- the somewhat lacklustre last few weeks. I love that it was brought up that Sarah doesn't fear being shot, because I think that's very interesting. And yeah, somehow Riley became my favourite character? How did that happen? And YAY! Finally they tamed Lena's crazy hair! :D

The characters are the main draw for me with SCC as well. I just love having a show with several interesting female characters to watch again, where it's not always all about the boys. I wouldn't say last night's episode blew me away, but it was a gian leap up from last weeks ep for sure.

Now I'm just curious to know what exactly is going on, if the UFOish thing is something humans have come up with, or if Skynet is starting an arms race.

Yeah... just look at Womans murder club. In the original pilot they were just woman detectives but the guy producers decided that they couldn't work the show without them all having boyfriends and crappy soap opera like realtionships thus making the show aweful!
