First of all, I keep thinking this is what Joe Flanigan actually had in mind for Epiphany. Would that not have been so much better?

In any case, this episode is like a giant first date. We have the jealous exboyfriend who knows Merlin so much better than Arthur. And who warns Merlin off, who feels abandoned and hurt but in the end is still looking out for Merlins interests.

We sort of have their friends playing match-maker by following Merlin on his Quest are sort of empowering Arthur to come as well. And we have both Merlin and Arther getting to know each other. They are in a situation where Arthur finally asks Merlin personal questions and I love how honest Merlin is with his answers.

Also isn't it cool how Merlins friendship with Arthur mirrors the one he has with William. What it is and what it will be.

It's sort of sad that Arthur still doesn't know though.

My favorite episode yet!!
Mostly I loved Merlins comtemplating his secret and his place in the world and hoe honest he is with Arthur about not being sure if he fits in in Camelot.
