I know what you mean! And I really don'T like some ofn the casting choices. But overall I'm quite happy because I never quite expected them to be like the book.

And yeah. I was really surprised!!

I usually have trouble with film adaptations - I usually end up feeling like I'm watching some weird AU. Makes it hard for me to care much about the films, even if I do like them. They're not real, you know? *g*

Welll..usually the only time I ever like them better is if I watched them before reading the books. Like Cider House Rules. I got the book after that and it just drags on and on.
