SGA 4x06 - Tabula Rasa

This season is awesome!!! I loved the episode a lot. I loved the eerie quality of it. The Memento-like storyline with it's flashbacks that is slowly unraveling facts and I loved the dynamics with the characters. John and Ronon, Teyla and Rodney, Rodney and Sam, Teyla and Sam.

I loved Ronon being smart and figuring things out right away. Teyla being really level headed with Rodney. Sam and John working well together.

Lorne and the polaroid of John was a great touch. Rodney writing on himself and taping himself so he doesn't forget. And of course I loved all the slashy undertones.

But here's the thing. I really dislike Katie Brown. Which mostly has to do with the fact that I cannot stand watching Brenda James. But not the only reason.

I mean, how much time has passed from Duet to Sunday and them from Sunday to this episode? I really cannot take it seriously and I don't buy this big love story for Rodney that Joe Malozzi always says it is.

This forced happy cheery first scene seemed forced to me.

They are so not in a relationship that has been going on for quite a while. Because had they been? They would have talked normally and not like they are on crack and Rodney would have known where Katie had been.

Yes, it is definately better then s3. I think overall there are just strong episodes.

and I think the polaroid was Johns idea. And I saw the Rodney polaroid and love it very much.

*g* I don't want to hate Katie, I really don't, it's just that... arg. It doesn't work for me. And I like your argument about wanting to show Rodney cares for people. But he could do that with the team.

Actually, I'd love to see Rodney in a relationship that shows he grew as a person. And I don't mind that we haven't seen Katie often, but they cannot use an episode from half a year ago and continue the relationship from that point. They have to show that time has passed! they have to show some sort of progression. Progression that rivals the time passed and not a two week period.

and yeah... I love the whole John in the bed scene *cough*
