Bond, James Bond
I will never ever again drive the A52 at 6 in the afternoon. My nerves cannot handle it.
In that respect, can anyone refer me to cool, good quality Casina Royale screencaps or promo pics? Because I need some icons :)

Las night, [livejournal.com profile] cerri44, [livejournal.com profile] frogspace, [livejournal.com profile] stabbim, [livejournal.com profile] legoline, [livejournal.com profile] kruemelnikku, a few others and myself, went to see the movie :)

I've always loved Bond. My Dad got us all the bond fever. And I first watched it as I was 4 years old. Me and Bond, we go way back ;) Anyways, I loved the movie. And you know why? Because it wasn't your typical Bond. Because it was much more real.

The typical Bond almost always has an evil plot to created by one bad guy, to rule the world. May that be through space canons, or flooding cilicon valley. In this case, there are several bad guys, who all have a different agenda. And the aim is not to rule the world. the reach is less high, and less prolific. Money. Money and nothing else.

The typical Bonds fight scenes were more stylisic. He never seemd to be doing that much and still win. This is why I loved the second sequence so much. The chase and the snake fight in beginning were so real and not just because of the brilliant camera angles which were so close. And so fast!

And I think Danial Craig rocked this. He might not be Bond visually, but he is in every other respect and he can act.

And OMG, they had Felix Leiter!!!

One of the highlights was Ludger Pistor of Balko..rofl. With the horrendous German accent. Playing a swiss guy. Believe me..it's much more fun if you're actually German.

ps: cannot wait for new Heroes and Stargate Atlantis. Anticipation=huge!!!

i was such a huge pierce brosnan fan. seriously, I loved him as bond and patronized all of his bond movies. I am so disappointed that he is no longer bond. After five or so movies and four videogames, i was hooked. And even thought he aged, he was still so sexy as bond.

I dont know, im not gonna give the new movies a try. To me, Bond is Pierce Brosnan and Sean Connery.

Why are so many people so eager to judge people before they've actually to seen them in action?

You gave Brosnan a chance, so who knows, you might like Craig, too. If you don't go see him, you won't really know, will you?

yeaa but see to me, he's like roger moore. I can look at him and say he doesnt fit the part. Im not saying hes not a good actor or anything - they would never put a bad actor in bond, of course! But he just doesnt cut it. Im not judging his acting at all. And im not saying the movie wont be good. I just dont care to see it.

I do see your point, but to me that's like saying "A black actor can never be Felix Leiter!" or "A female M won't work because she doesn't fit the part." You can't know if they fit the part until you've seen them, can you?

To me,. Pirce was always too polished. I don't know why. He fit, but I didn't like him all that much.
