*sniff*
I just made a flist-cut. Since I hardly have time to read you all because of work. I check flist through work on breaks and stuff...and I have much more fun replying and posting since I got the job, but it is extremely time consuming.

I spend about 14 hours a day not at home. Sometimes less, but mostly it is like that right now.

And the matter of fact is quite simple.

I started this lj because I got into Smallville and accidentally found [livejournal.com profile] eisakay journal and she had all the cool Michael rosenbaum vids. Fact is also, eventhough I still like Smallville and still make and will make art for it, I am not as in love with it anymore, it is not my number one anymore and I haven't read a single Smallville fanafic except "Corner of the world" by [livejournal.com profile] serafina20 since I got into Stargate Atlantis.

So this lj will be loads more multifandom and I think the flist should mirror that.

Also, I have the worst memory ever. I'm so not kidding you about that. You could tell me your deep dark secret and never have to be worried about me telling anyone else cos I will most likely have forgotten anyways. So it happens lots that I mix up lj peeps, or I go like..who was that again. And I cannot keep track. I want to know people who are here. Who read the flocked stuff.

So I cut about 40 people. And I didn't do it lightly. It actually hurt. I checked every single lj before cutting and every user profile. I looked at the posts and the interests and weighed everything. And it sucked. I also did it, because some people have had me friended for quite a while and I'd like to get to know them and I didn't add them cos the flist was too big.

Also, you can stay here and read the lj if you like..90% of my post are not friends locked.

I basically kept people who I like very very very very much, people who are very very artsy, people who are into design matters, people who are into several of my fandoms (SGA, VM, LOST, SV, SPN, etc...), people who been here for ages, rl friends... well.... everyone has a bit of it.

Jazz is cool. *g*

Let's see. I worked very closely with the art directors who gave me layouts which I turned into mechanicals--camera ready artwork for ads, brochures, outdoor boards and new business presentations. I put together comps and storyboards for TV commercials. I looked at portfolios of graphic designers, illustrators and production artists.

I proofread mechanicals and talked to copywriters if the type didn't look right--too many widows, bad line breaks, etc. I checked color specs before turning over the mechanicals to the production department.

If a client wanted a special logo on a tee-shirt, mug or a packaging display, that request was handled by the studio.

And don't forget the art supplies. Those art directors went through a lot of layout pads and pens. Although these days, it's more like printer ink and keeping up with the latest software.

Being a manager entailed long hours, including weekends and much patience. *g*
