Basics
I'm sorry I've been so navailable lately.

I've been dead busy. New online projekt. Heat. Party.

ETC

got loads of new submissions.... nice ones.... my mailbox is on the verge of exploding,
so that makes me happy.

Once I have some more time... I'll answer all the unanswered LJ comments.

Now i'm just dead. I want my bed.

My ftp programm is acting up....and I wanted to uplaod hat-less clark for you, darn that.

However, i've decided to post a teaser of my Clex fic. *g* Yes... I'm evil.....
Btw..thanks to two great betas! This is for [livejournal.com profile] kattiya & [livejournal.com profile] lexalot

There was something in his mouth, his nose. The scent, the taste. So unusual. Beautiful.

He came to his senses slowly. The first thing he realized was that he wasn't where he was supposed to be. The smell of the air, the feeling of the sheets against his skin seemed almost alien to him. It seemed oddly appropriate. Right.

Something or someone moved against him, sighing in sleep. His eyes darted open and he tried to move as well, suddenly fully awake. A warm body was spooned up behind him, long arms encircling his hips.

With sudden realization he knew exactly where he was and what had happened the night before. Out of control. That's what he had been.

He disentangled himself from Lex's body, trying not to wake him. The bald man shifted his weight in response, his body now sprawled over the whole bed, arms outstretched.

He looked almost peaceful, sunrays dancing over his smooth skin.
The sheets had glided down his body while he had moved, his sleep never disturbed.

Clark watched the older man, sadness and regret reflecting from his blue orbs. Never for him. Never again.

Why had he tasted? Wouldn't it have been simpler to never have tasted it at all, to never know what he would have missed?

A mistake.

He knew that.

Should never have lost control. And not only once.

Had lost control. Completely. Never again.

A mistake.

That's what it had been.

He had given into his desires and lost control. He could have easily hurt Lex that way. Could have killed him. And he had taken that chance.

Selfish. That's what he had been.

Leave.

He should leave while he still could. Thoughts jumbled. Emotions a havoc. Pain, so much pain.

No good.

And he was the cause.

No good.

Leave. Wasn't that what he had planned the night before? What had brought him here?

So much trouble. And not only for Lex. Everyone. Lana, Pete, Chloe, the people i this town, the meteor mutants but most of all, his parents. Their lives would be so much simpler and better if he'd just leave.

Pain. Only pain.

Silent tears ran down his face. He neared the bed, stretching out his arm, his fingertips hovering only millimeters over Lex's face.

Shaking, he drew back, moving away, walking backwards, his gaze intent on his best friend, never leaving his face. He reached the door, opened it.

"I'm sorry," he whispered and closed the door behind him.

This turned out so good, Lil'L!!
I really like how you communicated Clark's strife and heartache, and how he regrets what happened because of the complication and the inevitable sorrow it will cause. He seems to have gone on pure impulse and not thought, and now he is overthinking and panicking himself into a mental mess!
I like this a lot, hon, and I'm very glad and grateful I could be of some help in the refining process!

*smooches for that hon*

And you and kat have to do some more redefining soon.

A lovely visual and atmospheric piece of writing. Now I want to see more - why Clark has to leave, how Lex reacts. Get writing!!! :-)

god...I really wish I were faster...

how did you make that blinding ligth effect in that icon?
Signe: Azura by Signe[identity profile] oxoniensis.livejournal.com on October 15th, 2003 06:37 pm (UTC)
If you mean the effect in the icon I'm using here, it's a text effect called Highlight in Animation Shop (do you have Animation Shop?). Very easy to do, just a few clicks of the mouse, and then a bit of fiddling to get the speed and light right. I went for a very subtle effect here, but you can make it very distinct too.

And I think we all wish we could write faster at times!
[identity profile] elli.livejournal.com on October 15th, 2003 10:21 pm (UTC)
mmm...no way to do this n photoshop?
And I don't have the proggie..maybe I should get it.

more time would be nice.

I don't think it can be done in Photoshop, but then I never use Image Ready (think that's the name of the animation part of Photoshop), so I can't be sure.

I'd certainly recommend Animation Shop - it's very easy, and has some great effects. Don't know if it comes separately from Paint Shop Pro though.

Actually..I have several ideas involving layers, filters and blurs that might just achieve this effect.

Regardless, I love it.

This is excellent!!
Now there's no way I'm letting you NOT write that story you have planned. You have talent. Use it. :)
