So, I am going to try write a con report. I hope it is alright if I jog my memory by reading other peoples reports about this fabulous London weekend.
First of all, thanks to
stabbim for making this weekend possible buy booking the hotels and everything. you rock!
Everything went well travelling to there until we (
stabbim and
akira1971de) arrived in Soho to see David's movie "A Dog's Breakfast". Let's just say we got lost and leave it at that ;) By the time we reached the theatre, the movie had already started.
( A Dog's Breakfast- with slight spoilers inside )
We spent most of friday in Soho just walking around, eating, talking. We also spent a considerable amount of time at the "Forbidden Planet". I forgot how expensive that thing is.
Anyways, we got to the Sheraton and later to the Thistle very late, because the Hoppa Bus just wouldn't come. Also missed the Photo-Op signups because of it.
( The Meet & Greet )
Lateron was spent in conversation. Thank god I recognized
mcalex22 because my cell was empty and I couldn't contact any of my fellow lj peeps. She was so sweet and gorgeous ;) Spent a lot of time chatting about the show, real life, australia and more.
We got up really earlie saturday because of a hint *g*, which I misinterpreted for photoshoot sign ups and not what it actually was, but it worked out fine, because it meant we'd get good seats for the panels. Let me just mention that the organization regarding that part was not alltogether good. I'm an impatient, nervous person, and as such, I really hat cueing. It is ineffitient!!! And besides, ending David's panel at 16:00 and starting sunday photoshootshoot signups at 16:00 was really stupid and inconsiderate.
Also talked to two lovely american ladies in a cue to get in the hall who I later found out to be
elandrialore and her sister. They rock, by the way :)
( The Panels- Dan Payne, Ryan Robbins, Erin Chambers, Ivy Isenberg, David Nykl, Aaron Douglas )
I stopped for now, because this took ages and a lot of what I seem to remember right now are really stupid questions that noone should ever ask or waste their time on.
I also wanted someone to ask Ryan Robbins who the atmosphere and directing is different on SGA and on BSG. That is stuff that interests me, not what Davids favorite Dinosaur is (The dead ones). I mean, is it just to ask a question per se?
Future post migth include mure Chuck gushing, hair trouble, comedy Hewletts and dancing with Suz ;)
