You have to create a seperate style at the advanced customization area, choose the layers you're working with, under edit, but do not *use* the style.. you can look at it by clicking on the style number behind the name or by just adding *?s2id=stylenumber* after your journal link..

On the test server, you don't need to buy a paid account to work on S2 styles.

I know..but that wasn't what caingirl suggested... she suggested a seperate lj acount to test stuff...
