Smallville Glee-Week ArtChain
I've decided, and Madlyn loves the idea, to host a Smallville ArtChain om this journal.

It is not a competition, but a collaboration where you cannot see what happens. All participents choose from a few themes and lay the foundation for an artwork. Then this piece of art will be passed on to the next participent and so on until as many people as possible had the piece and have added their unique touch or vision. It could start by just being a screencap or a blend of two screencaps and then go on with textures, brushes, more images, manipulations or text. The participent can start with anything he wants to do. Except maybe it would be wise to not start with text.

At the end, several pieces of art collaborations will be done. The clue is that noone except the person who has an image last, knows how the works will look like.

Some Rules that I have already set-up.

+ No showing of the images to oher members before they aren't completely done.
+ No total erasing of other peoples work. As in, don't paste over a screencap layer someone chose and put up a total new one, cos the flavor of that person should still be there.
+ 500x500 pixel file size each.
+ jpg format only. that way people who dont have Photoshop can participate.
+ Smallville-Themed.

Now if you'd fill out this poll, i'Id be very thrilled.

The poll is now closed. don't sign up any longer.

[Poll #576965]

And remember this is not about who creates the most beautiful art, this is about having fun :)
I hope I haven't forgotten anything. If you have questions, ask them here.

:)

ps: thanks to [livejournal.com profile] elsmoka and [livejournal.com profile] kwerkee for helping me with the details and getting me to think

How are you going to work one piece a day? Only, for me as an example, I'll be out at work until about 7pm each day, sometimes later. So if I got sent a piece in the middle of the day it might be hours before I could do anything with it. I want to, but...

Good point.

I'm gonna use a time frame of 24 hours for each art piece I think. So once the challenges are underway, every person has 24 hours. and then the next and the next. So you can do it whenever you want...

Good idea?

That sounds good! I can do that, though only the once, because sooooo many other things to do this week!

once a day or once at all... cos it looks like it will be random and like this..you can pretty much choose the day..just tell me so I can distribute!

I need to continue writing my fic now.. *g*
So it can actually be ready tomorrow.

Just once, not once a day! Monday or Wednesday would be best for me, but it doesn't matter too much - fit me in.

And good luck with the fic writing!
