I must admit to thinking long and hard about that when I was a kid and I always came to the conclusion that they were separate. Not sure why, probably had something to do with the colours running in the wash.
Superman and Lex Luthor faced off, faces grim, on the roof of the LexCorp Towers.
"What are you up to now, Luthor," Superman growled.
"Research!" Lex Luthor shouted, then pounted the device in his hand straight at Superman's waist. A thin beam of light emerged and although he tried to move, Superman found himself rooted to the spot.
"What are you doing?" Superman asked a few seconds later, when, in obvious disgust, Lex threw the small boxy control over the side of the building.
"Something," Lex got close enough to reach out and grab, "I should have done," he pulled - hard - at the bright red underpants that graced the outside of the familiar blue costume, "a long, long time ago!"
"Lex! Knock that off! It tickles!"
"Damn it! I can't believe your Mom sewed these things to the rest of the suit!"
*G* - I imagine that Superman would then show Lex the hidden fastening to the suit, in the interests of making him stop tickling him, and what happens after that is anybody's guess.
I'd go with seperates. Cause what superhero retail store would sell underwear on the outside of their tights like that?! LOL Plus, they're tights, unless Superman wants you to see his jewels, he had to find a way to cover them. Wala! The underwear!
I also agree with the laundry argument. But an easy way around this would to just wash them in COLD water ;)
lol....so supes is just the biggest fashio victim ever!!!! *giggle* and supes doesn't freeze.-.so he could use cold water--or maybe the suit washes itself. heeee.
You think it would be easier in one piece. I mean, in the Incredibles, it was all one piece. I giggle just thinking of Superman shimmy-ing into his panties.
