If any of you are wondering where I am or why I'm not posting about the new SGA or any new pisodes for that matter is because there is just not enought time.

It's also because I'm feeling a little down and not happy with myself which usually leads to me not feeling like posting or meaning to and not doing it etc. On the upside I'm slowly getting away from my doing everything last minute funk.

Anyways I DO have good news because sometime in April the amazing svmadelyn asked someone to design a brand new Heroes fanficion archive and I really wanted to give it a try. So I did the design and programmed the css and syrenslure converted it all the a content management system.

Also: you guys were right. the new last.fm is really ugly!!!

Because I'm a bad fan, I don't usually comment on art, but this is absolutely amazing and I just had to say so. I love it. The people in the foreground are so crisp and clear while still blending seemlessly into the background and the variations surprised me! I clicked on the site and was admiring the pretty when suddenly there was NEW pretty. It's absolutely amazing. I am sad about the fact there's only one of Peter but that's because he's preeeetttyy.

I can't believe you managed to make all of these look so awesome. I have trouble with just one banner somedays. Great, great, great job. Oh, and the design of the site's pretty cool too. I like that it's just a little different than other sites. You did the "side bar" in the middle, which actually really works here, and allows a nice break between the "news" and the "most recent" sections that I think a lot of sites like this tend to lack.

Again, great job. I did notice a couple of little issues if you're interested in a bit of concrit, but overall this is absolutely amazing and the small nitpicks I found absolutely don't detract from the site as a whole (and, honestly, you're probably already aware of them).

And I hope you get out of your funk. Feeling down and blah-y sucks big time.

Absolutely fantastic work, Elli! *admires* And thanks for providing a link, too. I hadn't known about the project before, but it's a really good idea and I hope people will be using it. Archives are so much easier to handle than tag-less LJ comms when you look for fics.

Heee, well if you sent me more good aquality and croppable Peter there might be more of him in the future ;)

And crispness is a big pet peeve of mine. I need it veeery crisp. And personally, I think most fanfic archives look like they were made 6 years ago. They probably are, but there are a lot more possibilities now and I think we did manage to make it a lot more modern and different.

And I'm always interested in concrit. Especially if I can do something about it and it helps me improve. There are a few things I'm not so happy about. I made a mistake with the h2 tags for instance and the php script we used is not perfect or rather I'm too picky for it to work 100%.

And I think I'm getting there. I hope. This week was take charge and I do feel a whole lot better.

Well...the big thing about archives is that you have everything in one place. And it's easy to find and surf. On lj stuff his hard to find.

Well... I hate wraitbait though. The search engine is totally useless. I wish we did have something better in sga fandom.

Well.... i think area 52.... it has comfort fic. Bit it's got like 2% of what there is and well, some of it isn't very good. :(
