You don't extract them. You import them into photoshop using load brushes.

Can you use these scans to make other textures?

I ask so that I can tag the post appropriately in texturize. If they are finished textures, the post is fine. If they are scans for use in creating other textures for distribution, they should be tagged as materials.

Please let me know so I can keep things organized!
