The change in lj tos has been prompeting me to check out my dreamwidth account. I have't posted in over a year. But honestly, it wasn't even a consious decision.

How is everyone doing? What are you doing about the tos?

ps: I updated my style with google fonts . Variety is awesome :D I also changed quite a bit of other stuff on my css styles. I like it.
ps2: lj crossposting does not work anymore. Any solutions?

Galavant Season 2

Galavant Season 2 is upon us. We watched the first two episodes with the watch_along last knight and especially the second episode was so laughb out loud funny I laughed and giggled all the way through. Also some of the singing was devine.

Day 05 → talk about books this year

I did read some books this year, but I could hardly ever find the peace and quit, especially the quit of mind for reading. Sometimes I would read something and it was bad and I would not read anything for ages.

I have read quite a few books about health, fitness, mind and veganism. Many of which were quite inspiring.

The best thing that happened though is that spotify has started having audio books. I've listened to some really good books (and bad ones) this way. Die Seiten der Welt by Kai Meyer was really really good and one of the highlights. I also really enjoyed the psychology of Gone Girl. I also listened to all Harry Potter books and the Mortal instrument. I stopped the latter because it got so bad though.

Currently re-reading (actually listening to) American Gods. I am really looking forward to seeing the TV show.

Today is the day! This after noon I will see the new Star Wars movie with some friends. I really look forward to it. There are no movies I have seen more often than the old Stwar Wars movies. It's been such a huge part of my childhood and my life.

Anyways, I added some of you from this meme. So welcome here. I hope I won't bore you aore drift back into inactiveness again. It's so funny, a week ago I was complaining that it was so quiet and just a few days later and two new people on my flist, I could hardly keep up ;)

I'm in my mid 30ties, have been in fandoms for most of my life. I'm a dancing, reading, snuggling graphic designer and I love design and art and basically beautiful stuff. I usually post what i feel like posting or what I feel might interest you although I've fallen out of that habit a bit in the past few years.

Day 04 - talk about television this year

So it's already day 17 of december. Christmas is almost here. I have sent out a second batch of christmas cards yesterday. I'm sure I sent over 20 Christmas cards to friends and family. This time there are all store bought though. No time to prepare them myself though I had wished I could have.

Work is kind of stressful, which is mostly why I could not catch up with this meme so far. I've been writing this entry for a few days now, adding a sentence here and there.

At least today I will not be tempted by social media, because I want to avoid Star Wars spoilers. I haven't even seen the trailers besides the teasers and almost read nothing about the movie. I will see it with some friends later tonight and am cautiously optimistic.

Vidding Plans

Sooo... I've been thinking of trying my hand in vidding. First I signed up for vestivids, but somehow didn't send in the form and missed the deadline. I would have loved making a vid on the tv show humans for that. It is such a wonderfully atmospheric show.

Now I'm thinking of either trying myself on Jessica Jones. I already have a song in mind for that.

Or the amazing show London Spy. The show has such a unique mood and feel with an underlying tension that could translate really well to a video.

Happy Place

It is quite shocking to me that my last post was in may. May! That is more then half a year. Before that when I went weeks without posting, I've been thinking of posting but didn't manage becasue of time, life, well countless reasons. But I always thought about it. This journal was my happy place. The place where I share things and also deal with stuff.

But I think with the decrease of activity in general, my enthusiasm also waned. So many people who I admired and/or were close with left that it just doesn't feel like the same safe space and I feel that I don't know many of the new people as well as those that have left.

I do realize that is my own doing. I have not been cultivating relationships here. It might have to do with not having something I'm really fannish about. And I also realize that filling this place up with stories and images is what does create a home.

I also noticed that just reading and listening to english stuff and not writing things on my own has lead to my english deteriorating and I don't like that.

I've been decluttering and sorted out some english language books. Most of them are well read. Some paperback, some hard cover. They include the Termeraire books by Naomi Novik, some Smallville novels, A book called the Gathering by Kristin Cashore and a book called Contract which is about a contract killer who sees the ghost of his victims.

So I wanted to put out some feelers. I'd feel sad just throwing them away, so I wanted to know if some ofyou would be interested. You know, for free. Aside from shipping. And since I'm in Germany shipping to the states is probably stupid and it would be cheaper to buy the new book.

So in my quest for more health for myself, I started juicing a lot. So here are some pics of my juices. Ingredients can be pumpkin, red beet, watermelon, apples, pears, oranges, citrus fruit, spinach, romana salad and cucumber, parsley and mint.
