Today is the day! This after noon I will see the new Star Wars movie with some friends. I really look forward to it. There are no movies I have seen more often than the old Stwar Wars movies. It's been such a huge part of my childhood and my life.

Anyways, I added some of you from this meme. So welcome here. I hope I won't bore you aore drift back into inactiveness again. It's so funny, a week ago I was complaining that it was so quiet and just a few days later and two new people on my flist, I could hardly keep up ;)

I'm in my mid 30ties, have been in fandoms for most of my life. I'm a dancing, reading, snuggling graphic designer and I love design and art and basically beautiful stuff. I usually post what i feel like posting or what I feel might interest you although I've fallen out of that habit a bit in the past few years.

I have several fandom related websites, such as ex-posed.com, parisnights.de and an icon journal at http://onlion.livejournal.com/ It's been ages since I updated any of these though.

Anyways welcome everyone, let's get to know one another.

This is the multi-fandom friending meme going on. Check it out.

comments

I wanted to write about this earlier but was way too busy with work. There was the hugest storm in over 10 years in my region on monday night. According to news sites, over 20.000 lightning bolts hit a city in an hour. I was very lucky, that I was home in my apartment and not outside because the storm wrecked havoc in my city and in the ruhrgebiet.

Tuesday morning I went to work by car, because surprise, no trains, no subway, nothing. And the ride to work was eerie and tootally shocking. The damage is so extensive. It looked as if nature had taken back the city. Many streets were blocked by debris, mostly trees.

Oddly enough, the thing still standing was a political ad.

I hope all my friends in the area are all right.

This is a picture I took from the car.

( And here are some I found online )

ETA: Please check out The Ocean Cleanup

comments

Mostly it was journals that haven't been active in years or prople I haven't talked to in years and never had much of a relationship with.

What I've been posting lately is very personal and I want to have a better sense who reads it and who is still actually here to do so.

If I cut someone who didn't want to be cut, pleas just tell me, I might have made mistakes here and there.

Gosh, I'm the clumsiest person on this earth. Sometimes it feels like that. I woke up reall early this morning from a strange dream and half asleep tried to check the time and then hit my chin on the edge of the bed. It hurts. My chin is all red and swollen. It will probably turn blue. also it hurts when I laugh and smile.

So warm today and I'm wearing a dress. A dress, really. I haven't worn a dress in ages. The heat in the office is aweful. I really need air.

The last weekend was rather strange. All my plans kind of fell through, but I had already done all the hosuework on friday, which means I had plenty of time on my hands. So I started with some pilates and yummy mango and cereal and then went to the massage. I have to say that it was really really good. It was a tibetan massage. One hour. He did the whole body and had a heat light. I will definately do that again a few times to get my back tension to a good level. Even though it is expensive.

I went to the city for socks and track pants and ended up getting glasses instead. I hope those will help with the headaches. I will get them in about 2 weeks time. It was the opening of the store and so I got special prices. I also managed to finish my 20inspirations icon set way ahead of schedule. I already posted them at onlion and people seem to like them. So that is very cool.

I also caugh up on Defiance and Continuum. I forgotten how good Continuum ist. I'm sucked all the way back in.

comments

So I have an appoinment at my hair dresser today and I have no idea what I want to do. My hair is at a non length. not long and not short.

I've been wondering if I should go back to what I had the last two times, or do somethign even radically shorter, some sort of pixie or something. Or if I should let it grow out more and just have my hairdresser take out some volume and cut the fringe a bit.

I have collected some hairstyles on pinterest that like: http://pinterest.com/ellidesign/hair/

But it's not making the decision much simpler. Any opinions? My hair looks a bit like the katie Holmes style right now... exept less of a cut and more of a mess, because it has been growing out for 3 months now.

Anyways, the sun is finally out and I just finished designing the most boring webdesign layout ever for a dentist.

comments

I've been very busy and much more productive lately, which is good. Headway. Awesomeness. Hopefully the trend will continue upward, so I can finally finish all the tedious stuff I have to do. Like tax and stuff.

Went to the gym on saturday. My second time in aaaages and as I came back out, there were a bunch of cosplayers behind the main station dressed as Sherlock and Dr. Who and other characters and it was quite fabulous.

Also I've been cooking a lot. Mie doodles with broccoli, avocado-cucumber dip and salad with quinoa-carrot-mushroom-zucchini fritters.

( food )

comments

Some of you might find the fact, that as I got home on tuesday the carpet in the house floor was ripped out, as hilarious as I do. Nevermind the fact that there was no warning or headup or any information. Our horror hotel dirt carpet is a thing of the past.

Had a wonderful evening yesterday with half_lit_world. Eating and talking. And talking and eating. Afterwards I ran into my neighbour Benno and we stood on the street for 20 minutes and chatted. I also made delicious avocado-soyjoghurt-lemon-cucumber creme with my new blender. Awesomenes. Also watched The Americans after. I shouldn't have, simply because it was way to late, but well I don't regret it.

Have finally booked train tickets to Amsterdam in may and YAY, lyxzen, elsmoka and I are going to Amasterdam and see the Game of Thrones exhibition.

I bought the blender when I was shopping shortly with my parents after work exactly a week ago. I took some pics, because the weather was lovely. I love that coffee filter thing on my iphone. Those are behind the cut. Together with the floor and two breakfast cereals.

I also updated my lomohome with Sylt pictures. The albums are here, here, here and here.

comments

This day can just be over now, please. Aside from the fact, that I have the most god aweful headache behind my eyes and a queasy stomach because of the damn antibiotics, all my trains were late this morning, I had two wait 40 minutes for a subway and it was so full, that a woman kept pressing her breasts in my face. And I cannot concentrate at all today.

On top of it all I went on tumblr for a short bit to get my mind off it and got completely and horribly spoiled for Miranda.

thank god tomorrowis the last day I have to take my antibiotics though.

comments

I'm going to get a haircut and color. It's not as good as when I go with lyxzen but it will do for now. Also I bought this awesome turquoise nail polish last week. Easy to use and I didn't make any mess applying it, but now while at work it is totally distracting to see myself type on the keyboard.

Somtime last week was the last day of filming of Merlin ever and I'm still a bit sad I didn't go one last time. Who knows, maybe there will be another season.
At theiconquest though, I have signed up for a merlin icon battle. 25 icons to the end of the month. It will be hard considering all the things I'm doing right now, but I'm sure you will all cheer me on a bit.

My entry for a_mused is progressing well. Had several awesome ideas right now. I choose to go the vintage challenge (muted colors) for Hunger Games, but have chosen to not only have vintage colors but at least partially vintage styles. I hope it works and that I find the time to do it all. I have to have a certain amount of icons (points) to post an entry and I'm not there yet. And some of the icons I made I find a bit boring. We will see. I still have 4 days until the deadline.

I'm already done with season 4 of Lost. It is kind of sad.

A lomographic preview to denmark. Thanks to everyone for the vgitfts the last few weeks <3

comments

I'm back from my one week mini vacation. It was fabulicious. I will write more once my Lomos return.

Last week a lady called me that a space as been freed up and I am now part of the dutch course again. I had my first lesson yesterday and it was fabulous and a lot of fun and I knew a lot more than I thought I did. I also went to pilates right after because my fitness studio is right there and it was exhausting and a bit painful but I don't have that much of a muscle ache. I've gained a bit of weight in Denmark and also haven't really done that much sports in over a month. So i'm hoping to get back into it.

The Lomographys have been taken in Amsterdam, my parents garden, dog walking in Duisburg and in Düsseldorf. I hope you enjoy.

Also I'm not sure if I've mentioned that I am rewatching Lost right now. We also had the most wonderful barbecue later on a great salad. And we watched the strangest movie I have seen in ages "21 Jumpstreet" with Channing Tatum in it. I am still not entirely sure if the movie is totally genius or the worst thing I have ever seen.

legoline, elsmoka and I are planning to see Magic Mike also. We might get a channing overload even though we just want to see it for the delicious Matt Bomer.

Sunday I spent with my brother. We had another barbecue in my parents garden with my friend Yasmin and some friends of my brothers. I was nice to see them again. Also saw John Carter with them, which wasn't bad at all. It wasn't a quality movie per se, but I had a ridiculous smile on my face the whole time and there were a lot of familiar faces next to Tayler Kitsch who I know was in the movie there was James Purfoy, Ciaran Hinds, Mark Strong and Dominic West. All brits ;)

( dog walking )

( Barbecue in my parents garden with my bro and Yasmin )

Thanks to everyone who sent me messages, V-gifts, pms and whatnot for my birthday. You made it an incredible day. Spent the evening with friends having dinner at my favorite restaurant. It was marvellous :)

Also omg... we have tickets for "The Dark Knight Rises". I can get my Tom Hardy fix :) Also omg.. Batman. I'm really excited to see how Nolans vision will end.

comments

I've never had such a tasty shake before. The best part about it, that it's healthy and quenches hunger.

What you need:

50 grams frozen rasberries

75 mililiters soy milk

150 mililiters pinapple juice (I always use less)

ice cubes

Put all the ingredients in a mixing container and than use hand blender and blend the ingredients until it's smooth and you have no chunks. Serve in a glass with the ice cubes. It's extremely tasty. I also tried with a red berry mixture and it's just as good.

comments

So, I've been cooking loads of japanese food, because a) it is delicious and b) I want to loose a bit of weight. I tend to eat really fast, so using chopsticks lows me down considerably and it's much more healthy. Anyways, I've lost 2,5 kilos thus far. And I even ate lots of chocolate and stuff. The best part is that none of the dishes took too long. Except for those summer rolls I made. That was a mess.

comments

So I've been having a not so good year and have decided a while back, to implement a feel good programme. So I don't feel like crap anymore. So besides doing sports regularly, I've been thinking of going to work by bike.

However, I'm really scared of riding bikes and of traffic when riding bikes and haven't been on one in over 15 years. But to conquer my fear, I've decided to get a cheap bike to practise. So meet Sally. She is old and a little rusty, but still very pretty.

comments

OMG, the heat at my work place is excrutiating. I have the worst headache. Also running on too little sleep. Ever since I didn't sleep that one night at Gate Camp, I cannot seem to catch up.

I am aaaaalmost done with my project for eintx. Now I just have to do some corrections and get it print ready. Only the getting it print ready is so hard. I haven't done that since university.

Cannot wait to get home and see the Revenge season finale.

Wanted to write more, but the heat has melted it all int a puddle.

comments

So, since I last posted I had over a week off from work, which was't nealy enough to revitalize me and lift my spirits, but it did help a bit. I'm a bit more focused at work and have almost caught up on all the stuff still on my desk, the urgent sutff that is.

However, I've been in a weird mood and have been all year, it feels. It changes from "I can do this all, I hav the will" to "I'm not making any progress". Generally I'm very frustrated and have trouble enjyoing things without being reminded of all the stuff I have to do.

Luckily, most of it is done now. I have finished my taxes. OMG. It was a shitload of work. But I have done it. Basically that was all I did in my week off. But it is done. ALL OF IT!! OMG. Stupid deadlines ;)

Currently I'm very busy doing a project for eintx, which going to be very cool. I have also taken over some mod duties at throneland.

And getting addicted to Nikita. I don't even remember why I stopped watching it after episode 3 back then. I watched all available episodes in under 2 days. Because omg spys, omg believable long ter realtionsshipts, kick ass chicks. It is a lot like Alias. I'm loving it. Also I finally found decent screencaps, to make a tiny picspam.

comments
