I had this really old post written out about tv shows I'm watching. It included thoughts on Arrow and the Amricans as well as Grimm and a teaser to the new Gotham show pilot, which I think looks ace. But as so often when I got a lot on my plate I don't finish the posts even though writing it out actually makes me more productive.

So maybe I should start it again.

I'm not looking forward to Haven this year. The last season was so disappointing to me. But Longmire started again and was very interesting. I've also stopped watching Continuum after episode 3 of the current season. Does anyone recomment starting that again?

I am a bit behind on the Americans. Hopefully I will find the time to catch up on it this long weekend. I've really enjoyed Arrow and Grimm a lot this season. And currently I'm mostly watching 25, Game of Thrones and especially Orphan Black. Still my favorite. So favorite indeed that I have signed up for an icon challenge for the first time in ages. 20inspirations with OB season 2 to be exact. I will have some fun with it.

Star Trek: Into Darkness

I just realized that tomorrow the new Star Trek movie opens in the cinemas and I still have no plans and no time to see it. It is sad. Because initially I wanted to do a pre premiere party. With the first movie and Star Trek themed cupcakes and costume awesomeness.

But time was never on my side and I figured organizing it would be way too much of a hassle right now. But now the day has arrived and nothing. No plans. If I'm lucky I can see it next week. But then I have noone to see it with. Because I didn't make plans.

Why is it may already, where is the time?

That said, we have a pretty awesome topic at iconmusing. Space, the final Frontier. Just as a celebration of all things Science Fiction.

Icon journal, lj styles and lj changes

As a part of me iconing again, I have set up an icon journal for myself to seperate the private stuff and the icon stuff and to give the option to people to see the art only if they choose to. I’ve made a really cool CSS stylesheet for it that I’m quite proud of using Flexible Squares and then all the lj changes the friends page look crap happened and I started to think more seriously about moving it to dreamwidth completely, so I migrated the Flexible Squares to dreamwidth with a tutorial and advanced customization, which then gave me the not so brilliant idea to create a style layer on my own complete in HTML5. And thus I became a bit obsessed with it.

However even though I made progress, I’ve shelved the project for now, because I seriously lack php and perl knowledge here and the documentation is seriously lacking for me. So I’m keeping the customizations in css for now. Do any of you have knowledge of the S2 style system? Is there an idiot guide ;)

Also I’m still trying to figure out if and how I should post old content on my icon journal. Do I post all the icons, or just the ones I like best? Do I post all the masterials in an archive post? What about the artworks and the tutorials and the downloads. I have been thinking about that for a bit and cannot make a decision.

My dreamwidth already has the css stylesheet changes. What do you think?

Icons: Longmire Episode 1&2

YAY. I don't know how, but I managed to make icons for the current challenge at a_mused. I chose the topic "Scales of Justie":
The subject of your graphics must be Justice. This may be a character who fights for justice, a law & order/ cop & robber show or those that stand for what is right.

I made icons for Longmire, a very very cool show. I haven't seen all the episodes yet of season one, but loved what I glimpsed so far. Ratings were very good, so I bet there will be a season 2.

The icons are kind of atypical for me. Very simplistic, but not really white space icons. Mainly used textures and extensive coloring.

La la land

I'm going to get a haircut and color. It's not as good as when I go with lyxzen but it will do for now. Also I bought this awesome turquoise nail polish last week. Easy to use and I didn't make any mess applying it, but now while at work it is totally distracting to see myself type on the keyboard.

Somtime last week was the last day of filming of Merlin ever and I'm still a bit sad I didn't go one last time. Who knows, maybe there will be another season.
At theiconquest though, I have signed up for a merlin icon battle. 25 icons to the end of the month. It will be hard considering all the things I'm doing right now, but I'm sure you will all cheer me on a bit.

My entry for a_mused is progressing well. Had several awesome ideas right now. I choose to go the vintage challenge (muted colors) for Hunger Games, but have chosen to not only have vintage colors but at least partially vintage styles. I hope it works and that I find the time to do it all. I have to have a certain amount of icons (points) to post an entry and I'm not there yet. And some of the icons I made I find a bit boring. We will see. I still have 4 days until the deadline.

I'm already done with season 4 of Lost. It is kind of sad.

I'm still hurting from the fat burner course. WTF is that.

I have watched the TV show Traveler on friday. So awesome! Wh< oh why was this canceled. Also baby Matt Bomer <3

Amazing Spiderman icon battle

So most of this year I haven't really done a lot of creative work, but mostly administrative stuff and updating old stuff and it's been frustrating to the point where my muse is mostly gone and I feel like I don't even know how to design anymore nor have the urge to do stuff.

I'm trying to regain some of it though through icon making and graphics and simply looking at lots of stuff. So when I did the tutorial last week, legoline and I decided to make a tiny Amazing Spiderman icon battle.

Here is our result. And I still find it so funny, that we created similar stuff with it.

More Icons, mainly for the movie atonement

Let's face it, atonement is really stunning visually. the saddest movie ever made and very very good and so very beautiful. Also the first thing I ever saw Saorse Ronan in and I think she is fantastic.

I'm lgad I'm getting back in the game a bit. It's fun. Also signed up for an icon battle. OMG. Added the Hawkeyes icon I made for lavvyan for completion.

I've sporadically made icons in the past half year, but never enough for a set. But I'm gonna post them now. I've made better icons in the past to be honest. But I'm trying to get back into it as time permits.

This entry has got Blade Runner, Avengers, Game of Thrones, Fringe, Downton Abby and North & South. More often then not it is just one icon.
