I also got her book as a starting point.
I've finally started creating some :D Here are my first tries. I'm lacking the finesse a bit but I hope my stamps will become cleaner with time.

Seems I collect ideas and reproduce them. I saw a picture on pinterest about a washi tape inspiration the other day and figure it would go well with Larabars.

I've been making Larabars using this recipe for a while to have some sweets. I used a variety of dried fruits as ingredients instead of the apriot. This time I used soft dried figs, because I love how the seeds crunch when you eat it.

( more pics )

comments

Ages ago, when it became clear that legoline was about to move, I had the brilliant idea to sew her a Captain America floor sitting pillow as a house warming gift.

Now I'm terrible at sewing by hand and I had never used a sewing machine at the time. I have however gotten m grandmothers old sewing machine and wanted to have a go. I was very scared and thought with my two left hands and eternal clumsiness that could never work. But at the end of february m wonderful friend Kate showed me how to use the sewing machine. I wrote about that here.

( a loose tutorial )

After over three months, I am done with it and have now also given the pillow to legoline. She loved it. :D

The result is far from perfect, but really good for a first attempt. The fabric I used, isn't very good, so on the side, the only place with just one layer, the filling sort of sips through the fabric. But other than that I'm very happy with the result. Next I want to create a small handbag for myself.

comments

Mind you the biggest fear I had was that the machine might not work because it's from the 60ties. But my worries are unfounded. It is devine.I has bag. And I already ordered plenty of stuff online fpr my net sewing project.

Sometimes you haven't posted in so long, you don't even know what to post about anymore. Or where to fucking start. I've been swamped at work and it's been a bit hard and I've been stressed. We are redesigning the company website and have to have it done by the end of the first week of january and I hope that we make it in time. That said, christmas and everything.. will be short for me and I will not be able to take time off between christmas and new years eve like I had hoped.

Also this is the reason there will be no christmas cards this year. it's also the reason I didn't sign up for any. Chrismas hasn't reached me yet at all anyways. It's kind of sad how unchristmassy I feel.

I have caught the crafting bug. Which means there are tons of things I would love to try out and do myself. And I started with DIY snow globes. Now let me preface it by saying the experiment failed spectacularly. The trees I got have turned the water bluegreen and the glitter doesn't really float. But elsmoka asked for pics, so I made some.

Also eamesie had a what's in your bad meme.
