Sherlock BBC
Happy birthday sweetie!!  I hope you have an awesome day detecting and stuff ;) This is for you. An experimantal something which I hope you will like. In this, both Sherlock and Mycroft are Spies in the Secret Service and are entangled in a web of conspiracy. Or maybe not ;)

As for the materials I used, several brushes from brushking.eu and publicity images I found on spoilerfix.com.

Slodwick is doing a repeat of the David Hewlett Postcard campaign only with Martin Freeman in it. So if you liked his performance in Sherlock and want to show some appreciation, just head on over here. It is a really cool idea and I'm sure he will be thrilled.

Then there is this Steven Moffat interview in which he teases and teases about a hidden clue.

Yesterday, when I first checked my flist, I noticed several videos of a semi-bald dude with weird face-painting who looked a bit like Phil Collins. I only noticed almost half a day later that it was a project of David Hewlett and his sister Kate. I'm not sure what to think of it yet. Check out here.

The year 2012 has started quite busy and since everyone seems to be doing this, this is an entry about all the awesome things I'm doing, seeing, listening, watching and reading this year.

As it shows, I watch way too much TV.

Also this entry has been edited a gazillion times, because I've seen many of you use pics and star rankigns and such and thougt those ideas were all so nice, but I never got it to look a way that it would fit my style and that I would enjoy. then I just figured, I'd do it as text. At least it's easy to update and the chance that I will just stop in the middle, is smaller.

Here comes the last photopost. As you can see, I tend to get photolazy on the last days, always. So this is the space of three days ;) Weather wasn't as good on day three and the beach we wen hiking on was rather boring.
On day 4 it was sunny again, but I'd been feeling the day before like I wasn't really relaxing going from the gym, to hiking, to dinner, to bed.

So I told my parents I would go to the bar by bus and sit there and read a book. My mother decided to join me and my das went for a walk on his own.

I think my mum was very glad about that ;)

That was it. I might still post the analog pictures at a later time.
Sarah Connor Chronicles
Here I come with my second sylt entry. The saturday was really sunny and it reflected a lot in the sand. The light was quite brilliant because of it.We went for a rather large and very painful walk on the beach. The sand way way too soft to walk on and my hips started hurtng again the same way they have in Scotland. And in the end the bar we had hoped to have some drinks in was closed. I guess that's fine on christmas though.

Also int he middle of the day we had a little bit of rain, which made for the most perfect rainbow and wonderfully red colored sky.

ps: with my new entry format I chose larger pics this time.. what do you guys think?
Haven > Duke

Over christmas, my parents and I visited sylt. This entry is just of the first day. Went saw some town and walked on the beach. It wasn't too rainy that day but cloudy, so the pictures have a wonderful mood.

For christmas, my parents invited me to sylt, where we spent our christmas. Sylt reminded me a LOT of Scotland. And miss it. We had amazing weather, amazing food. Lots of quiet. We did a lot of hiking.

Since I'm working and my deadline is still looming, this is all I'm gonna post for now. Hopefully it qill quiet down sometime soon.

Sometimes you haven't posted in so long, you don't even know what to post about anymore. Or where to fucking start. I've been swamped at work and it's been a bit hard and I've been stressed. We are redesigning the company website and have to have it done by the end of the first week of january and I hope that we make it in time. That said, christmas and everything.. will be short for me and I will not be able to take time off between christmas and new years eve like I had hoped.

Also this is the reason there will be no christmas cards this year. it's also the reason I didn't sign up for any. Chrismas hasn't reached me yet at all anyways. It's kind of sad how unchristmassy I feel.

I have caught the crafting bug. Which means there are tons of things I would love to try out and do myself. And I started with DIY snow globes. Now let me preface it by saying the experiment failed spectacularly. The trees I got have turned the water bluegreen and the glitter doesn't really float. But [livejournal.com profile] elsmoka asked for pics, so I made some.

So I've been sick and in bed since wednesday and thus very very bored. And I'm not sure how it is for you guys, when I'm bored to this point, I often become lethargic and don't manage to do anything at all. So I've watched TV a lot. Caught up on some shows, but there is only so much TV you can watch, right?

Anyways, the project we are doing at work is exciting and different from what we usually do and the work is hard and I've been doing too much in my free time and asking to much of myself possibly. It also would have helped had I switchen on my heating earlier. But anyways, I'm gonna have quiet weekend doing very very little and getting better, because I cannot really afford to be sik much longer and the next few weeks at work will be hard because deadline. We might have to come in on weekends too depending on how much we manage to do. I'm trying to take it one day at the time.

Anyways a while ago I visited [livejournal.com profile] elsmoka and we went on a wonderful trip to the rhine and took some pics.

Captain America > Peggy
Very often right now, instead of going out I'm just home watching TV. It has largely to do with my workload and the fact that I'm tired. Anyway, I checked out Sarah Michelle Gellars show Ringer which didn't start so well but has been steadily improving and is now one of the shows I cannot wait to get a new episode of. It's quite intruiging.

Ioan Gruffod is really good in it (and hot) and it also has Losts Nestor Carbonell. Jason Dohring is a guest star on the show and I was really happy to see him on my screen again.

and in any case, now that I have stopped watching Supernatural (sometime last season) I'm happy that my favorite Angel Castiel aka. Misha Collins will also be on the show.

ps: I need more icons for all my shows *cough*

Thesre are very awesome german language youtube vids. mostly about Facebook. And Nick Cage ;)

A few weeks ago, a guy from the lomo walk who knows I love jazz music, asked if I wanted to come with to the Leverkusener Jazztage to see the dude who made second plate at eurovision, Kurt Elling and Kyle Eastwood. Anyways, two guys didn't ring a bell for me, but I love Kyle Eastwood, he's a marvellous bass player.

The only thing was, the tickets were really expensive, I didn't know how I felt about going to a concert with a bunch of dudes, I have a LOT of work at work and so I had trouble making up my mind. Espcially because I had to leave work early because of the stupid train. And as I mentioned, it was expensive.

Anyways 30 mins prior to my pick up, I decided to go. The guys picked me up (I didn't even have to drive myself).. and off we went. At the location, a guy furiously was waving around is ticket, claiming how he had a second one and didn't know what to do with it. I asked him how much he wanted and he just said he wouldn't be able to get rid of it anyways and gave it to me for FREE! I was quite flabbergasted.

Kyle was first and very very awesome. He had three different basses as pictured and the one he used first really surprised me. All the musicians were very good.

Three was also very brilliant. But Kurt Elling was boring as hell. He was slick and sort of vegassy. He kept winking at everyone and callignt hem sexy. It made me shudder quite a bit. Just not my cup of tea. Also he talked too much. The italien guy was quite good. I keep forgetting the name. Not my music personally, but the guy has skill and it was fun.

That said... going there with the guys was fun. And very relaxed. So my concerns about it were unwarrented. I'm glad I went. Even if it was last minute.

ps: the pics aren't mine. It was forbidden to film or photograph.
Lost > Locke
So there is this photographer called Tyler Shields who takes photographs of lots of celebrities and posts them in his blog and it seems everyone seems to want to work with him. And I have to say I don't get it. I do not think his work is beautiful, artistic has a good mood in any way.

Instead it's sexist and deals only with cliches and everyone always looks cheap. There are a few exceptions, but not too many.

Anyways, currently half the cast of one of my current guilty pleasure shows, revenge, has done a shot with him and of course it looks cheap and pretentious, which makes me sad. One of the pics I like though. It's the pillow fight with the silouettes. Also Gabrial Mann has a really nice chest ;)

It makes me a bit sad. You can check it out here. Tell me how you feel about it ;)

ps: Still looking forward to seeing the new episode sometime though.

Duisburg Innenhafen seems to be becoming a second home for me ;) I was there quite often in the last few weeks. Went there with [livejournal.com profile] half_lit_world a while back and then went again for a Lomowalk. I have three albums in my lomo home. I used a redscale film, an x-pro and a normal iso 100.

It's a trapAlso yesterday, we celebrated [livejournal.com profile] book232's birthday at Mongos there. I don't think I've eaten that much in a long time. It was great fun and I met some nice new people. And of course I got to see book again ;) And talk about Fringe and Lost and stuff ;)
We also went to Legoland, to the store only, where I purchased 3 Star Wars themed keychains!!! I got Admiral Aackbar, Boba Fett and a Stormtropper. For some reason I really like Ackbar. It's a trap!!! I think it has to do with Robot Chicken Star Wars. So awesome!!!! Anyway, check it out here at 3:34.
Also also celebrated [livejournal.com profile] half_lit_world and [livejournal.com profile] in_arcadia_ego's birthday on saturday at the fabulous Flurklinik.

For some recs I've been meaning to share this site and I'm not sure I did that already. Lost and Taken has the best Textures for grapics work ever!!!

I also found several video turorials for analogue painting that I liked.

Anthropoligie has three new dresse that I LOVE. But they are way too expensive!
